Ahh so getting 2 games in the deal then comming back on friday and swapping them for ?70 off towards a DS wont slide then ?

Owww, I wanted to get Zelda 4 swords. Went round hunting in town for cheap games, but i really couldnt be bothered tbh. Since most of the games are like 30 notes each now anyway, and its pretty much difficult to find any 99p games, the minimum i could see which was ?4-5 for a game, so really, i would be ending up saving a ?10. So I just bought one from CEX to lumber in with 3 crap games ive got for my xbox already.

So tommorow i will be taking

Midnight Club 2 (dont play it no more, and i got it free)
Unreal Championship (shh)
Ghost Recon (I hate this POS)
Splinter Cell Classic (bought this for ?4 yesterday)

oh well, might as well get MGS3 then. Ta for the heads up Bowser, and i hope no one went and bought like 30 preowned games to swap in the deal

they most probably would say. "ahhh i see you got that in the deal, im sorry you can only exchange it for any in the offer or get your money back which is 99p"

most shops will exchange without a receipt...I can't guarantee it (maybe the ppl who work there could) but I'm sure Game would.

Well, if you traded your games in for GT4, decided you didn't like it after a few days and then took it back, they'd surely have to allow you to swap the game to the same value, which is ?29 then settle the outstanding balance?

Put it this way, the option would be change the game or refund the entire transaction. Hunting down "your" copy of Fantavision you traded is a futile task after say 5 days, so they will grudgingly do what you want.

If not, ring customer services. They always bow down to the customer, even when the shop is right. Without a receipt you'd be told to GTF by me.

Can you take back games to exchange immediately after buying them? There are two GAMEs in Oxford, could I trade in four games and pay 99p for Project Snowblind at one, walk to the other and then exchange it for something else immediately?

Or is there some kind of time limit?

Can anybody confirm they are taking GBA games on the trade in. Somebody told me Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2 only.

Called my local store today. They are only taking XBOX, PS2 and GC games.

I was hoping to trade in some GBA games too...

I am taking 3 Gamecube and 1 PS2 game in tomorrow and am going to get GT4, then on Friday (when the DS stuff is out) i am going to take it back (still sealed) and say my brother bought it and could i swap it for something else (Rayman DS).

The trade in deal for the DS is a bit ****, SP + 3 games = DS half price. I think Gamestation have a better trade in deal but if Game is closer & you cant be arsed trailing to GS then get the people in Game to match the trade in value.

Heh, I went to Gamestation to pick up some cheapo games I went to the counter and said `would you be able to tell me the cheapest games for the ps2 pre owned? I've seen Red Faction for ?2.99, are there any others for ?2.99?` ... the man said `Err ... sorry I can't get a price list up` and I just sighed, he said `If you want games for ?2.99 there are plenty on the ps1 that will work with your ps2` and I said `noo they've got to be ps2, xbox or gamecube` he looked at me funny and said `why?` and i said `I'm ripping off game`. I then went on to tell him the deal, he said `ah well in that case then I'll help you`. Haha, It was like it was some kind of gang war thing between Game and Gamestation. I got the counter with my selection of games, and the fella asked what game I was getting, and I told him GT4 (heh, I managed to `lend` a pal ps2 off my mate). He then told the Gamestation manager what deal Game where doing, and the manager said `okay, where doing that now` he took the 4 games I picked up off the shelf, scanned them through and I bought them. He took them back off me straight away, and allowed me to trade them in for GT4.

Heh, so the Gamestation in Southport has just matched Games deal, and they're not asking for 99p. They didn't even bother ringing Game up to confirm the deal! So, I'm going back there on Friday to hopefully do the same with some DS games, only I fear the manager might find out Game are only doing those selected games .

I can't help but thinking that the Gamestation manager was a bit stupid there, surley they would have made a profit if I had just bought the 4 pre owned games? Instead, they let me trade them back in (Red Faction for ?9.99 ) and get GT4, haven't they just probably made a loss? Heh, and the manager looked so smug after it. Very strange.

Probably because he thinks you'll remain loyal to his store, both Game & Gamestation will bend over backwards to increase customer loyalty even if it means shooting themselves in the foot from time to time, best tactic is to play both sides like Clint in A Fistful of Dollars or Mifune in Yojimbo or Willis in Last Man Standing etc etc.

the last time i tried this one game store said they wouldnt do it as the game scanned in as too cheap.
