I like the look of that track design, too! With the tight turns and all, hopefully there'll be more situations that call for driving skillz than in Double Dash.

I'm tempted to put a pre-order on a US one but I'm concerned over region difficulties with the games online modes?
Anyone know more about this?
In regards to your question about the online modes, I don't think anyone knows yet for certain. But stick with the UK one and you should have no worries.
So excited!
To be honest, I'm finding it slightly worrying that there hasn't been a huge advertising campain to talk this up. It's a huge, huge deal for DS owners, and indeed for the gaming community as a whole. Who'd have thought years ago that you could be sitting down virtually anywhere, whip out your handheld (ooh err) and play against people wirelessly from all over the world?
EDIT: Looks like it's the 25th November now, according to an official article released yesterday: http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/e...HlFbBe_MrmNEJeLast edited by thebuddahman; 12-10-2005, 12:47.

Don't have broadband so it's not like I'll be missing out on online play, either.
Actually, I'm no expert on such matters but surely it won't matter what region you've got as far as online modes go? One of the reasons for online play is to go against people in countries that may be different regions to yours. Maybe.Last edited by nekroxide; 12-10-2005, 13:50.

Seeing as though the Euro release was put back to Nov 25, I'll be getting the US version. I'll just use Tronix and Fed-ex shipping, should be here in 3 days so that'll still be a bit ahead of Europe. Don't think there'll be too many problems online though as you can race anyone worldwide. Can't wait to get started.

If they do include it then I might be able to convince some of my family/friends to pick up a DS, as that is really the only battle mode map we play. Probably also why we don't play DD as much, because IMO the battle mode maps aren't as good. They did have some good ideas in DD though, I particularly liked the shine thief and bob-omb blast modes.
Basically I think a mixture of the best ingredients from each of the games would be ace. MK64 style battle mode(with all the maps included) with the optional modes from DD would be ace. IMO Shine Thief would work really well on Block Fort. Slap a comprehensive online mode into the mix and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
although it looks a little bit ugly

That's great news. I haven't got time to see the movies but I take it that it's proper block fort and not a watered down version like block city right? Multi-tiered level and all?
