Underwhelmed by 360?

As I said earlier- if you wan't original or unique games you aren't gonna get them in the 360 launch period. The lack of any new exciting RPG's is a very big negative- especially as good RPG's sell machines!

The people that should buy a 360 are those that are happy with more of the same only with better visuals. A lot of people use Live and these gamers are gonna be well catered for with plenty of exciting games covering most genre's.

In a way the 360 has the same Western vibe as the XB1. A lot of gamers like a good selection of Japanese titles, but sadly once again these are few in number. A lot of gamers though aren't so bothered about Japanese games anymore- I know a lot of people are happy to play Western games and nothing else.

The lack of big names is a problem. Rare aren't the respected power-house they once were, Project Gotham is far from being a respected brand away from Live, and many others are unknown entities.

Microsoft need Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy etc... I'm not personally a big fan of these games but I do recognise how important they are when it comes to boosting a machines profile.

As a racing fan and a user of Live I have played nearly every racer going and the XB has been taken to the limits in this area. This is why I look forward to the 360- bring on the next-gen racers!

I thought long and hard about getting a x360 on launch, as I was keen to jump on to the new technology, and basically give the console a 'chance', even though I don't really like the xbox1. However, I've decided to hold out on the 360 until there's some better games, and for now I'm going to spend that money on a good HD TV, so I'm prepared for when the time comes. I think enjoying the AAA titles at the tail end of this gen is more important than playing the mediocre next gen stuff.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the 360 when I get it, but I can wait for the games.

I think there's loads of life left in the current generation of consoles, but thanks to Sony's dominance, I don't think MS had any choice but to release earlier than they would have liked to. They'll be keen to get any extra sales they can by being the first of the next-gen to release. But of course Sony's PSP might dent that a bit if they can release a AAA title in time for Christmas.

I can understand the negativity but at the same time, if we get some must-buy titles on launch or before the end of the year, I think it'll be justified in so much as that's what makes a console worth buying.

There was a mention about MS possibly commissioning more RPG titles and stuff that might appeal to Eastern audiences, which can only be a good thing, but who knows if that'll happen or not.

I've reserved one at launch, mainly because of PGR3. The PGR series, since the DC has been one of the most addictive and enjoyable games for me and that has just increased tenfold since PGR2 on Live. I think that's one of the strongest brands they have just now as I know some people who bought an Xbox purely because of the online buzz surrounding the Live mode of PGR2.

I thought the original Xbox launch line-up (and just after launch releases) was one of the strongest for any console I remember. Certainly a case of quality over quantity, so i can only hope the same happens this time round.

I hope there is some decent games on day 1. If not then the Jeff Minter trippy light thingummybob in hi def will be getting loads of action. I'm quite looking forward to that anyway.

What all this rubbish about I hope there's lots of good game at lauch ???. With any new Hardware launch there?s only there?s only about 1 or 2 games worth getting, the rest of just average to say the least.

And been the case for ever console (apart from the X-Box). I got my Saturn, DC, N64 with about 2 games worth buying for each of the consoles. Didn't care I was more than happy with the games.
And they did everything I expect from the next gen game (push the graphics bar up)

I am mainly excited for dead rising on 360 and hope its a lauch title.

The vid i have seems xbox 1 graphics but the amount of on screen content and shaders used make up for it.

i think theyve gone for less gra[hics to have that 1000 of zombies ingame on screen goingh smooth which suits me.

prefer gameplay to gfx.


im not too excited though till i see it all run on a normal tv as 80% britian cant afforrd hdtv or even know what it is.

it cant be, no way can ps32 do graphics and pyshics that well its likje warchhing a holywood film.

if it is ingame ps3 will win hands down not seen xbox360 do anything like that... ghost recon is best ive seen ingame on 360 and my shabby pc can do that easy.

Only game floating my boat at the moment is Warfighter which looks like a real step on from the kind of visuals and gameplay I am enjoying at the moment. If this makes launch any other game is bonus.

I dont feel underwhelmed by the 360, infact I can't wait to see the new UI for Live and all that entails. It takes time for the new hardware to drive new gameplay ideas and games. Just buckle up for the first wave to be prettier, faster and 'more', vresions of existing stuff and you wont be disappointed.

true but xbox 360 on a normal tv witn a good rgb lead will still get the glory hrahpics as its programmed into the games and xbox hardware we just wont get good res.
