I wish I could get this working on my Wii with saving working. Anybody managed it?

I still play Mr Driller Ace from time to time, though I seem to have got fairly bad at it now. Can't get close to my old scores any more. It's a real shame that the 360 version wasn't all that great. It was an okay version of the core game, but a lack of high score tables killed it for me, and it was pretty stripped down compared to Drill Land or Ace.

Drill Land for PSP would be brilliant. Or even getting Mr Driller G out on the Japanese PSN.

You can't save it except on a JP machine or a US one that's switched to JP and then you'll need a JP formatted memory card too.
I lost interest at Drill Spirits, it didn't feel right for some reason and the voices on the Western release were awful. Plus I didn't want to knacker the down button on my DS d-pad like I did on 2 GBAs with Ace and 2.
On Gamecube I play it with the analog stick, I think made easier because Nintendo has the sense to put cardinal direction slots on it, and it's smoother to go from down to one side or the other, you can really get in the zone.

Yeah, I can play it on my switched Cube. I was hoping there was some way to boot it on my Wii through the homebrew channel in Japanese mode, but none of the language forcing options seem to do anything.

I quite liked Drill Spirits, though I had the Japanese version so didn't have to put up with the voices, but it's not as good as Ace or Drill Land somehow. I quite like the turn based mode in Drill Spirits and Ace, though.

The one they remodelled as Tower of Druaga in Drill Land?
I had Ace first and didn't know what was going on coz I was dying so quickly, then after a short time I realised it was 1 air for 1 dig, it started to make sense and then becomes a slower paced puzzle as you have to get where you want to in as few moves as possible. Great stuff.
I hope a new one comes soon on a platform that I have.
