The same reason why the Xbox needs the remote control to play DVDs - the price includes the licence - and I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo do something similar eventually. But let's face it, everyone has at least one machine capable of playing DVDs these days. It's not a big deal and certainly not a selling point.

So it looks like the West gets a whole bunch of Megadrive games, and the East gets SNES stuff instead.

Frankly, I am incredibly disappointed, disgusted even, by the severe lack of SNES titles in the US(/PAL?) list.

Ristar, Toejam and Earl, and Gunstar Heroes are very nice additions however.

EDIT: Actually, re-reading the articles on Eurogamer, I think Japan gets everything we do, plus more?

EDIT2: According to IGN, the NTSC/PAL lists are the pretty much the same, except the Europeans get Ristar and Donkey Kong Country! Looks like PAL gamers aren't going to get such a hard time this generation!

Its good to see the pc engine games are making it to the UK as well, i just hope theres more to come. Will they be modified in anyway, online Dungeon Explorer would be cool.

Can't wait, i know I'm gonna drop a fortune on VC games. Gonna be purchasing most of the key N64 games. Real pleasant suprise to see that Europe is getting PC Engine games, all previous Nintendo Europe information had it ommited..
