I have also just noticed Rain is in a differnt font (italics?) from Heavy and now I can't stop noticing it.

Yeah, I noticed they'd put "rain" in bold and italics too, they must assume Americans are idiots so need it pointing out to be sinister. Neither box art is an example of great design though since both are ruined by obtrusive "Only On PlayStation" slogans and an ugly SCE logo. Personally I couldn't care less which box art the UK gets.
I'll be going for the SE though* since the LE will probably come in some cardboard digipack and I'd rather spend an extra £10-£15 buying the DLC separately than have to suffer the annoyance of seeing my nice row of uniform plastic game cases disrupted.
Edit: * = should it review well enough to warrant a purchase...Last edited by dotoko; 12-01-2010, 13:40.

I just cannot get excited about this... In motion it all seems a little wooden to me and visually it looks very clean and tidy but lacks any distinctive soul; like an ultra realistic pencil portrait of an apple in a bowl.
I'm probably missing something, but nothing so far has sparked my interest.

I hope so - because it seems too much attention has been paid on the visual splendor, so it all seems quite superficially-spectacular with a questionable core. I hope that, when it all comes down to it - when the visuals are stripped bare - we're left with a tantalizing mystery title with a plot that indulges the mind alongside characters that beg to be explored. At the moment, i can't see any signs of that - only a magnificently crafted superficial shroud. Heavy Rain certainly has one of the best examples of realism captured within a videogame form, yet I've yet to see any examples of a tint of heart and soul or imagination and creativity. To me - personally - that what matters in the videogames i play. This is going to sound harsh, but so far, so not impressed. I'm looking forward to be proven wrong though

Amongst the myriad of shooters and action games, this is a breath of fresh air. This is me just going by the two scenarios I played at the Eurogamer Expo, can't wait.

Well, I was pleasantly suprised by Farinheight (sp) well before it got stupid towards the end, so if its a step forward from that then its got to be something special in my eyes.
I so want to preorder it, but a part of me says i should wait for a review before jumping in with haste...... Looks promising and I too am excited at the prospects.
Ive only seen that one video where teh director goes through a brief snippet of the game, and that piqued my interest. Other than that I know nothing more about the game, which is probably the best way to approach a game that is plot driven like this.
Although having said the above, I have become somewhat speculative when developers say that every decision you make has a consequence in games, as these type of dynamics in games tend to be nothing more than go to route A or B. If the system is intelligent enough to deliver a creative method in doing such an idea, then we really will be witnessing something special.
Fingers crossed!
