    Famitsu score - 10/9/8/10 (37/40).

Is that Heavy Rain Special Edition from HMV definately going to stay at 39.99?

Had my preorder in for a while and it still says that on the site. However, I feel that the price can't be right, can it?

Also, do HMV ever deliver the game before the Friday?

Yeah the price you ordered at, it will stay at, that's standard operating procedure for a high-street store, right?

Cool beans, that's what I wanted to know. So, I have secured it at that price.

The fight scene in the hookers room was really cool, I think i'm in.

Looks nice and everything, but TBH it didn't really hold my interest. After the hooker scene I just switched it off. Considering his love of QTEs, I imagine Yahtzee will have field day with this.

Having heard the godawful English dialogue in the Euro demo, I quickly switched through the foreign ones. The Russian one seems a little disjointed from the onscreen action, the Polish has a gritty feel to it, and the German one was absolutely perfect, especially for the wasteland investigation section. Italian and French didn't do anything for me, and I didn't try the rest.

This looks like it could Heavenly Sword all over again - where the English voice acting is so repugnant, I switch to a foreign one because I can't tell if it's bad or not.

Heavenly Sword's Norwegian dialogue almost made the game worth playing.

Seems like just an eye candy game. Found it to be too slow for me.

No disrespect intended, but I think you might have missed the point a bit mate.

Heavy Rain should be regarded as though you are part of a film so yes it will feel slow compared to a typical game. Its about the experience, seeing how things turn out as you go through the game and make decisions. It goes for realism in every sense, it doesn't exaggerate anything.

But it wont be for everyone especially those that are expecting to play an all out action game. From the get go you can tell the games aspirations as soon as you look at the screen. This game is for the sensitive gamer it encompasses quite a few things including emotions, atmosphere, expressions, inner thoughts, interactive dialogue, finding things out and dealing with situations that arise. It tries to put you in the shoes of a virtual character living in a virtual world but in a deeper more personal sense.

I for one am looking forwards to it, its an experience that may yet be the best example of merging a film viewers experience with that of an intriguing interactive gaming experience. I don't expect the game play will be perfect since this is a genre that hasn't been tackled much so hasn't matured as much as it could have but there is clear evidence that they've evolved certain features commonly found in this type of game.

It's a modern day Dragon's Lair and that's fine by me.

The only thing that slightly concerns me, and this is guest work... Will the game be too easy? I mean even on hard? In my first playthrough I want to be challenged. I want characters dying on me becuase I wasn't good enough. Then I can go in to replay chapters and try and conquer them i.e succesfully get all the button presses correct. I don't want it to be the other way around where I am going in to replay chapters, attempting to fail them so I can get alternate outcomes.

Hopefully, this will be cleverly done or I have it completely wrong with my guessing.

Sounds like you are looking for the wrong game.

There are a few places where it's relatively easy to die..... or at least somewhat likely. Mostly not though. The games isn't about challenge, certainly not about getting everything 100%.

And I thought it was just awesome!

I imagine the trophy list will feature trophies for each possible outcome (ending). I hope so as that will help give another incentive to 100% it. So, for the completist or trophy whore (well, I defo fancy Platinum'ing this) the game may play out like I imagined above?
