I am looking forward to this to a ridiculous degree, I think it might actually be one of my most wanted titles.
I can't wait to snuggle up of an evening with my missus, enjoying the story together! It's been ages since a game came out with a good enough narative that it engaged my wife, I'm certain this will be the one!

For me, the most interesting thing about this game is how two people can be playing the same scenario and yet come away with different experiences.

Woo! A solid PS3 release slate. Good times
This is my Q4.

3rd party they may be but Sony as a format holder should do more to help those who put games on their system by spacing their own releases for mutual benefit and maximum sales.
Star Ocean or WKC? Some people may only be able to buy one due to the closeness of the releases but if they were spaced better those same people might be able to buy both.
Although, RPG fans with PS3s might just leave both and wait for FFXIII. I can't help but think of the old adage "[insert item] are like buses. You wait ages and then loads turn up at once". In this case it's RPGs.
At least I'll get some peace and quiet over those weeks.
Sorry, bit OT there. I hope Heavy Rain sells well. Played some Fahrenheit this evening and it really has some cool ideas.

Well, based on the demo, I'll skip Resonance. Whenever that comes out. I might skip SO4 too.
I'm going for WKC in any case. Its the only J-RPG to offer something different. I think the once loathed online mode might save this one and give it a reason to stand next to FFXIII. It sounds like fun.
Heavy Rain is the highest on my list for the first quarter.

Dare I say it, but for some strange reason, my anticipation for Heavy Rain is a lot bigger than FF13. FF13 has been a long time coming, and after delays, my patience for it has left a somewhat sour taste for the game. Don't get me wrong I can't wait to get my hands on it, but with the refreashing game such as Heavy Rain coming out, I find myself looking forward to it more than the tired and tested formula that is the award winning FF franchise.
This thing about people getting a different outcome playing the same part as others, will surely have the first play thread spoilered to the max lol........ I think I will be playing it with my brother, that way he can tell me how different his experience is, which will no doubt bring up interesting discussions.
Something that has been nagging me about the game is its length - I just hope the experience is not over too quickly. Im not expecting a marathon RPG length, but a title so anticipated amongst us all here, needs to be of some substantial play time IMHO to fully sell itself. Thismay just be a throwback from the days when Id complete a game I enjoyed too quickly and felt cheated by the game, because the length of the game did not justify the price tag.
All in all, I agree with the comments from people here about the great line up of games coming out on the PS3 this first quarter - exciting and expensive times! Quid'co and trade in's to the max lol.........
I wonder if it will explain why the game is call Heavy Rain.........

Heavy Rain is my most wanted title by a long way. I already have WKC, and I'll be going for Star Ocean 4 International over FFXIII.Last edited by J0e Musashi; 16-01-2010, 11:34.Kept you waiting, huh?
