Just finished playing the demo, top stuff and am loving the dark and murky atmosphere the game gives of. The graphics are top notch, but one thing that really impressed was the sound. On a decent 5.1 system this game sounds stunning, especially on the crime scene.

As for the game, I can see it`s gonna be one of those love or hate games as it`s essentially just an interactive movie. But With so many different outcomes through out the whole game by what i read It sounds like you can play through this a few times.

Where with these sort of games in the past it`s only the ending with different outcomes. Then again It depends how well the story holds up and how much the characters grip you if you are to come back to it or not.

Been waiting ages for this and the demo hasn`t dissapointed, only minus for me is controling the character at times can feel a little clunky. Other than that can`t wait

I did the motel section twice - screwed the conversation up, then got it the second time. Getting a real Silent Hill 2 vibe off the dialogue and voice acting; it's shaky and more than a little awkward at times, but when it works, Christ, it's spellbinding stuff. When she told me to get lost I actually felt guilty.

Was always a bit cautious about whether this game was going to fall flat on it's face but the demo has now convinced me it's an essential purchase.

I've played it a few times now and each play-through was completely different as there's as there's so many ways of doing what you need to do.

I had what you mention happen to me too which was a nice surprise.

The hill bit that people keep mentioning was a right laugh, it was fine most of the time but I had a quick go yesterday but only had a few minutes before I had to leave the house so I rushed through it. Could I get up that hill in a hurry? Could I HELL as like, I was all over the bloody place and covered from head to toe in mud.

It's going to be difficult in situations such as that but I've got somebody trying to stab my kidneys out as you really need to be concentrating if you're trying to do it at speed.

I was impressed with the atmosphere which is a little strange as with a game like this surely the overall game experience of spending time in that world is what creates the atmosphere rather than a just couple of snap shots like this? The thought of how this is going to feel when playing the full game for a few of hours at a time and getting to know the characters and their families is really what excites me about this.

I know one of the criticisms from a lot of people who'd seen videos before was that it was just going to be a load of QTEs along the lines of Dragon's Lair but it just feels like standard controls to me.

I didn't notice any issues with the audio when I was playing.

I liked the FBI work where you're investigating crime scenes and I hope there's quite a bit of it in the full game.

Has anybody tried to die in it yet? I think I'll give that a go next time to see if it's possible in the demo.

It did take a couple of minutes to get the hang of the controls just as it did in Fahrenheit but it just feels like the ideal way to control it now. Maybe I'm just so used to 'traditional' control methods that I automatically expect actions to require certain button presses?

I did seem to end up walking into things the first time I played it but it feels just right now.

I know it's supposed to be a fairly short game but I can see myself getting a few runs through it to see what else can happen.

I don't think this is going to be a popular game to be honest, when it comes to sales figures on the PS3 if something like Uncharted 2 doesn't convince the masses then I don't think this stands any chance. I think it would need an incredibly astute marketing push to create interest in other gamers and it seems a bit late for that now.

I don't particularly care about how many copies a game sells but poor sales can affect companies taking risks with far more adventurous games such as this one so I hope Quantic Dreams & Sony get enough out of it to want to keep taking these sorts of risks.

Fair play to David Cage & Quantic Dreams, if the demo is anything to go by then they've created something pretty special as they did with Fahrenheit and if it takes them another five years to produce their next game then I think it's probably going to be worth waiting for.

The main disappointment for me in the demo was a really big one too, for what ever reason it was I thought there was three areas AND a video so getting to the end of the second area it was really disappointing to just find the trailer start up.

Anyone had any hangs with the demo? Just had one when I was hurrying down a hill.

The controls at times make sense in a good way. Your character is fumbling down a steep hill, so the on-screen button prompts can be erratic and make you fumble with the pad. Nice stuff.

Loved every second of the demo the graphics, animations, voice acting and overall visual flair are amazing. The gameplay is definitely going to divide opinion but I really liked it, everything just seems to feel right.

I still think commercially this game really isn't going to do well even if it deserves too.

The Music is quite up there too by the way. I really like the theme that plays during the trailer. Its called Ethan Mars Theme on youtube and its like Requiem for a Dream which means its hands down epic.

Just played again and worked out the hill on the crime scene. Man It was sooo fun, i could of cried when it ended as i just want more. And i usually dont like demos as i can never get into them for some reason, especially story based games, but this is going to be special. I just cant wait for release day!

Played through the demo a coupla times now. Man, it's brilliant. Visually it's just jaw-dropping.

Loved how in the 'sleazy place' scene you could move around freely while asking questions, and also opt to casually lean on stuff. I always find myself trying to be as cinematic as possible in videogames, so it's great that there's a game that actively encourages you to search for these obsessive little details. The QTE's are much better than Fahrenheit's too. Speaking of which I'm hoping that the story doesn't suddenly veer in to sci-fi oddness, but as long as the tubby detective doesn't suddenly start shooting lasers from his peepers, we should be fine.

                            Can't wait.

The demo is scheduled for February 11, so should be available through the PSN normally on that day.
