US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

It doesn't sound to me like they had much control over it, tbh. How would you have felt if it got past launch and they hadn't bothered to tell people they weren't getting Wiis in? You wouldn't even have had a chance to eBay.

Keeping us in the know seems like the best plan, to me.

Anyway, your cancellation gets someone else a Wii a bit sooner, think of it as a nice gesture

nice jesture maybe (i was 12th on the list) but i am still annoyed. if there was any chance of this happening i would have left my pre-order with them if they had said so!!

Yep, can't believe the change in mood since the 31st October when DVD Box Office sent out their 'Wii Delay' email and VG+ apparently let so many people down last week.

The Import Madness guys should have their US Wii's by Monday/Tuesday 27th/28th and VG+ will probably come up with the goods too.

My personal concern is now with the games/accessories i've ordered. I ordered Zelda, Excite Truck and an extra Wiimote through DVD Box Office, but think they'll struggle to get enough stock in to sort me out. Any words of comfort/suggestions?

Thank feck that I took the plunge and ordered the Wii itself through Import Madness as back up. That's looking like a gamble that's going to pay off (I already had one ordered with DVDBO).

when i asked the guy at import madness if my zelda order was also secure he said something along the lines of 'oh yeah we have hundreds of zelda, the only shortage we'll have is the wii itself'

dont get me wrong i have used vg+ a few times over the years and was lucky enough to get a US DS and PSP launch machine and will still use them in the future.

Interesting. Might put in a game order just now with them, and leave the DVD Box office one for now just in case.

I've just had an email from VG+ with a change in my order status. It now says "Wii Processing No Cancellations". Does this mean that I've been allocated one of the launch systems? Will have to wait and see.

Not sure what it means though, but hopefully good news!

Does anyone know somewhere where I can find an extra remote? VG+ can't get me one, and other places I know don't have them up!

Wouldn't be so bad if I could re-order and they put me back in the queue where I was before. But that's not gonna happen really to be honest!
