You think that's cheeky - I got an order in when the price was at ?240 (yes, it's stupidly expensive, but not as completely ridiculous as prices can be for a new import console).

So, here's me thinking I had done well, and they have now sent me an email telling me they are hiking the price up but I can have a $40 discount! This works out at about ?280 which is just too much. They haven't offered me the option of cancelling, they have said I can accept the new price and get one in their first batch, or keep my order and wait until they are cheaper! I have emailed back and told them to shove it. I sincerely hope they will let me cancel - dunno if it would be illegal to force me to keep my order, but it would definately be unethical.

If they aren't gonna cancel your order then why tell you that the price has gone up?

They should cancel it mate. But to be fair they SHOULD charge you the lower price you both agreed on at the time when you pre ordered.

They are telling me because they want me to pay the higher price, and that if I don't then I won't be getting one from their first batch/batches. ****ers.

So, theoretically, if I was at this late stage to jump from DVDStars to somebody else, who would people reccommend? Hovering between DVDBO and Importmadness at the mo.

IIRC, they did the exact same thing with the DS Lite launch

my component cable for wii is being shipped today! Someone from the US called Nintendo and ordered for me. Another one is going to camp in line to get a wii for me on sunday and ship it to europe.

they do have the worst customer service known to man, apart from DVDBO but at least they're filling wii pre orders
