"Nintendo has announced that the European gamers will be able to enjoy a total of around 20 Wii titles when the console arrives in this territory on December 8, priced at ?179/?249.

First-party titles including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Play and Wii Sports (bundled with the console) will be joined by an extensive roster of third-party support. Alongside Ubisoft's anticipated Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids, European customers will also be able to beef-up their day one Wii library with the likes of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Need for Speed: Carbon and Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

Nintendo's WarioWare: Smooth Moves is scheduled for release soon after the console's launch, with major hitters like Mario Galaxy - perhaps disappointingly - scheduled for 2007."
          From IGN.

Zelda and Wii play the only first party titles sounds a bit iffy. surely Nintendo couldn't neglect their own console this much

It's more about pacing. Releasing multiple quality titles on the same day isn't very wise, people only buy so much at once.

You may remember last year, MS gave in to people moaning and released their best stuff on launch day, then people moaned because things went quiet for a few weeks!

We'll be playing Zelda for at least the first week, surely.

People will be playing Zelda for at least a month - it'll will be the biggest Zelda yet, apparently.

and they wont let you preorder unless you take a game with it by the looks of it

Which might not be a problem but surely when the games come out you probably get em cheaper than 40 bucks on some sites

And it's also great for suckering people like me who couldn't give a rat's ass about Red Steel into buying it just because there's nothing else on sale
