    Disc read errors on all games apart from PDZ. PDZ music won't play.

    Launch day console. This is swizz.

      Deffo gonna be complaining thats fo sure. Although tbh just phoned UPS and they offered to come and get the console today at 3pm - I phoned them at 1pm - thats service !!!

      As luck would have it I'm gonna be out but it's scheduled for wednesday - will update when the obvious "didn't turn up" happens =0

        Well I phoned, the Geordie on the other end was very friendly. 7-10 days to get it fixed.

        The difficult bit now is packaging the beast up. I don't think I have any boxes big enough!

        Despite my sly mention of being press, he said they can't decrease the time it takes

            Don't think they do this any more, they certainly didn't for me.

            Finally got the return label on sat. Over a week since it should have been "sent". Will ring to pick up ASAP but as it 5-10 days repair we're looking at nearly a month since intial enquiry.
            Will be rining billing today (On the same number) to suspend my live account. Best thing otherwise MS are getting money for nowt.
            Same happened with me - took a month from initial call to receiving a fixed console. Not acceptable.

              Christ, it used to be gone and back within the space of a few days. Sounds like a bit of a shame it's gone down hill.

                Should ask them to extend the warranty by an extra month too . A month to get it fixed is a joke.

                If MS can't repair 'em any faster then they should be sending people replacement consoles instead.

                  Indeed - The guy told me over the phone that they probably wouldn't be able to fix so would send me a new model (which they did, eventually). The huge delay for me was getting the postal label through the post, which took about three weeks - every time I phoned to chase they told me the call had been resolved by someone else.

                  When I finally sent my machine away it only took a few days to get a replacement.

                    Well, I'm not surprised PeteJ to hear that someone else has experienced this. I can understand *slightly* the delay in the label - needing to register details with UPS etc etc BUT it's the confusion MS end that winds me up - like you say, explaining the SAME issues over and over again.

                    Complained today and had my details taken by a nice but VERY hard to understand French speaking guy. Will apparently be phoned back today or tomorrow by his line manager.

                    I'm not holding my breath.

                    At all.

                      Has anyone else had the problem that they can now only play arcade games on the account they were purchased on after getting their replacement 360?

                      If so how did you go about fixing it?

                        Right, some good news for me at last !!!! Rolled home at 2.45 in anticipation of the UPS driver coming between 3-5. On my street I see a UPS driver going AWAY from my flat before the time stated.

                        Enter home and prepare to ring UPS with the mother of ALL tongue lashings.....

                        Then the driver returns and is quite possibly the happiest guy I've ever met.

                        360 away.......will post as and when I recieve any updates.

                        Although MS will be recieving a call tomorrow to check on the progress of my complaint.....

                          Are you supposed to package the console yourself, because I've been told by 'others' they were given one to do so by Microsoft.

                            MS should send you a cardboard coffin to send the 360 back in - I would not pack and send it back yourself !!

                            Mine went - Call day 1 - coffin day 2 - courier day 2 - delivered back day 4

                                Typical. I'm now contemplating whether to use a Doritos box, which I can't bear to part with because well, it stores all my old leads, controls and games. It's like throwing away a prized wardrobe, except this is cheap and made of cardboard.

                                They probably stopped it due to the increase in costs.
