Result got mine today
Installing at the moment - says it will take up to 50 minutes. Little strip running along the bottom of the screen says you need at least 8gb of free space. I`m sure I read it was more.

Up to 10GB I heard, which is the full install (6.4GB) along with what I assume is data cached during play. Suits me fine.

A word of warning (not sure if John has mentioned this yet) but GT5 saves are currently copy-protected. Back that **** up folks!

Spot on there is the option to determin file size after install.
Came up at 6431mb

Install only took 30mins - guess it depends what speed drive you have. Mine is a 500gb 7200rpm one from my old laptop.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but if you choose not to do the install it will auto install as you play the game. That will of course slow down loading of tracks and cars at first but the more you play the quicker it will get until it's all installed.

I imagine I'll just install it as a one off though.

One of the beauties of being informed on the games I pick up. I know they need a long install or that they're due a patch so I'll always fire it up well before I intend to start playing and get it done. ^_^

JPN GT5 is in full English, same as the PSP game. At least this is what I have been told by a supplier. I shall find out soon enough, not that I've had a problem with any of the previous eleven games anyway.

Please do, if I can get a Japanese copy it'll save me a lot of trouble. Otherwise I have to wait for somebody here to get bored of their copy and sell it in the trading thread (although to be honest, given the way things usually work, I'm expecting people who hate Gran Turismo to buy it and sell it immediately complaining that it's nothing new)

Did you just order one? They emailed me to say they wont be sending mine out til Tuesday next week as they are really busy thanks to GT5 grr! In other news, got a letter this morning saying there's going to be no power to my house Wednesday from 8am to 4pm, I'm at home all day just my freeking luck.

I've just brought the wheel and stand so I've only just got the confirmation email.

Although it would be nice to get both for Wednesday, I'm not too bothered about it, just happy I'll finally have a wheel set up!

Anyone know if the visuals have been improved over Prologue?

Hard to tell from vids and I can't trust screenshots.

Things like jaggy shadows, slight tearing, framerate, textures, trees, etc.
