    Phantasy Star Portable 2
    Virtua Tennis 2 (arcade)
Street Fighter 4 (arcade, now with one broken jab on the P1 cab. :/)

I'm actually missing Crisis Core due to the frenzy of levelling and urge to get 12* drops on PSP2, I'll have to go back and finish that. There's a public holiday on Friday so I'll get some free time then I hope.

I’m starting to retard in games I think. I’ve got an absolute stack of stellar titles to play through which I have listed on the Xmas thread but atm, I am currently playing retro’ish and pedestrian games:

Amnesia – The Dark Descent PC (Awesome game)
      Final Fantasy Tactics – DS
      Might and Magic - DS
Hidden Object games PC (DL’d loads of them. Why, I have no idea but I’m just addicted to them atm, lol)
The Ball – PC (Not bad with some half decent puzzles but a bit to formulaic)

        Just abit of Vanquish

Absolutely fantastic week in gaming for me - finished up Super Meat Boy, started Vanquish, sunk a few hours into the new Professor Layton, and finished a co-op playthrough of the Lara Croft XBLA game with my girlfriend too.

Super Meat Boy has far surpassed my expectations, Vanquish met my very high expectations, and Professor Layton is it's usual charming self, but feeling considerably more fresh than his last outing.

I don't know what it is, maybe growing global mass-hysteria over the new expansion, but I'm feeling a HUGE urge to start playing WoW again, I've been out of the loop for well over a year now, however I feel like I really should get on there and crack on.

            A few problems though...

            I don't have a PC.
I no longer have my account.
I don't really have the time.

I've been listening to the music whilst at work and it's making me feel sick with regret. I don't want to play any other game, nothing hits the spot anymore. Not even the amazing arcades we have here.

Picked up Razing Storm on PS3 yesterday so I was playing that all night. It's a great package but if I hear "Alpha One is awesome" one more time I might not be responsible for my actions :/

I've mainly been playing Uncharted 2 again, I was hoping to complete it on crushing but I've managed to lose my save game which means I have to complete it on Hard first.

I also spent a bit of time on the easier skill level just tidying up some of the trophies.

I completed the new Call of Duty and I found it a bit boring to be honest and after completing Medal of Honor I'm really missing some of the things that that did with leaning being the most obvious.

I know Modern Warfare 2 was really week when it comes to the story but this felt like it was written by a couple of 9 year olds playing army and making up the most fantastical story possible.

Have spent a bit of time playing Flying Hamster on the PS3 which has been bloody good fun. You're a hamster, you fly, you spit at enemies but you can find edible things which behave differently when you spit them out. Not much of a story but it's far more believable than Call of Duty.

I've really enjoyed it but the price is a little for a mini, I've spent ages playing it though and don't regret the ?5:00 I paid. As it's a mini you can play it on a PSP or PS3, I've only played it on the PS3 and it looks gorgeous.

Playing this took me onto playing Detana! TwinBee on the PS3, I really miss this style of graphics in SHMUPS.

I've been playing the Saw game on PC. It's awful. Controls are terrible. Gameplay is dull. It's just a bad game. I don't think I'll go any further with it.

Well I gave up on Saw. Pile of crap. Moved on to one called Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Not very far into it but so far all signs point to it being pretty good. A horror adventure game with a classic old castle setting. Great sound and atmosphere. Looked for a first play thread and there's only one for a demo so it can't have been popular.

This has a reputation as being one of the most pant-crappingly scary games ever. Zero Punction's review on it is rather excellent

Yeah, I wasn't sure it would be. The atmosphere is good but the setting - an old castle - suffers from a very old game issue in that it doesn't feel like a real place. I don't buy that the areas serve a function. In general, I find modern realistic settings scary as I can relate to them.

But, as the game goes on, it does get pretty intense. The lack of light, the weird vision effects, the odd glimpses of things that may or may not be enemies and, most especially, the sound, which is full of creaks, footsteps and even voices, have all started to get under my skin a bit. It's all getting rather creepy.

I imagine it's much like Silent Hill - turn the sound off and stick on a Spice Girls cd and it's a walk in the park. But then that wouldn't be half as much fun.

Finished this last week. Excellent game. Not scary but does have a very good claustraphobic atmosphere about it. Also it's very dark so you will ideally need to play this in a darkened room.
