Got to love how much plastic is wasted on such a tiny cartridge, on the upside this is turning out to be quite the console, both hardware and software. Looking forward to getting my hands on one.

3-5 hours battery life.

Ha. So all the 3DS battery haters waiting for the monstrous 9 hour PS Vita battery can get used to low charge times now.

On balance I imagine it will be easier to charge a Vita via USB so you can get some charge at your desk or laptop *hopefully.

LOL at that battery life, wonder what those estimates are based on, for that kind of short life the screen & speakers better be on full & the wifi on. What is wrong with this new gen it seems like they can't get the battery right anymore, Nintendo & Sony both screwed up this time.

Like the look of the carts though but that box is stupidly large, theres really no need for stupid big boxes.

I wouldn't be so quick. 3-5 hours is the 3DS's working battery time, 3-5 hours is the Vita's 'official' battery time and they're always optimistic.

This! I found the 3DS's main draw to be utterly unusable in practice. A lack of any decent fresh games and region locking and a poor implementation of backward compatibility (DS games look pretty cack on that screen to me eyes - well, Mario 64 did anyway) meant almost instant buyer's remorse for me and I was lucky to sell it when I did before the price crash. The new slider add-on is only making it look worse. Just my opinion, I know a lot on here are really enjoying the device.

On paper Vita is everything I want. Sony still have time to balls it all up though of course!

EDIT: Just saw that video. I'd forgotten how big the Vita is!
