After a little thought I think I'm going to wait too. The only game I'm really arsed about seems to be getting worse and worse (mobile SFxT) and not many people here are interested in it at all so I'd be on my lonesome.

Also, I'm not buying a Ridge Racer device again.

NCSX.com have their pre-orders up. They're only doing the Wifi/3G model with a 100 hour data card as they claim the prices from suppliers don't make it worth it.

$549.90.

Ordered one with Ridge Racer ($60).

I'll get the other games from AmiAmi as the ? price seems to make it better but they're not doing the console.

UPS was $185 so I went with EMS for $75.

Doesn't seem too bad. More than likely won't get stopped by Customs due to the heavy Christmas traffic too.

I have the games and 32GB memory stick taken care of already, but I'm really wanting to know if the 3G one will work over here before I commit to a unit purchase. Cheapest I've been offered is $520 shipped.

I wonder if the 3G side of things will be like Kindle (except not free) so you can use any 3G signal as long as you've got credit to spend.

WipEout 2048 dated as mid-January 2012 in Japan. Blimey! Some cracking' titles in the launch window, as they say.

Should make for a strong EU/ US launch line-up.

It's official, I've cancelled my preorder. The cost of one of these with a memory card and one game is just too much especially when there's still a lot of major games out in the same period. One well worth waiting for the inevitable price drop.

Unless you always buy import hardware/games. I don't really see the point in not waiting a short while until the European launch given the massive savings that people could make. It's not like there wont be anything else to play over Christmas either.

I'm deffo going with an Asian unit now, if only for the fact that the 3G is guaranteed to work in the UK.

The reason I pre-ordered a Jp unit is I had a fair amount of credit racked up with an importer, otherwise I'd have waited for the EU launch.
