I agree, at ?20 I'd be far more inclined to chuck one in my basked as an implse buy.

Whilst I'm on guys can someone confirm that just by accessing the store actually via my 3DS (ie by getting Excitebike) I've done all that's needed to be a part of the ambassador program and get the free games? only I'm a bit crap when it comes to getting such things right!!

Yes that's all that's needed to get the free games. Basically do the system update to get the store on your 3DS menu then enter the store to store main page

Looks like the price cut is working in Japan. This looks more like a console launch than price cut:http://www.shadowlocked.com/20110811...-in-japan.html

Queue's for a price cut? Nintendo should definitely keep the low price in mind for WiiU.

I registered and downloaded the e-shop today at work, however there was no notification of the Ambassador Programme and the icon wasn't in the shop area. I hope this didn't end early.

It expired at 10.59pm earlier on so if you did it in the afternoon you will be in for the freebies. There isn't any notification you are in it's just entering the shop that registers you

The games aren't up until September for the NES ones, "later in the year" for the GBA.

There was no notice on the shop, but you did get one in your notifications titled "ニンテンドー3DSを購入頂いた皆様へ"

I imagine all the games are going through rapid playtesting at the moment which is why they're taking so long.

I registered it about 1pm yesterday, so I presume I was in before the deadline. Amazon selling for ?115 which is tempting mind.

The Xbox 360 was the best selling telly console in North America last month, with 277,000 sales.

3DS sales figures show the decline in the US over the pre-price cut months. MS's comment must mean being no.1 for 2011 rather than overall as they're smoking crack if they think they'll ever catch the Wii now.

Quick wander around town today shows most places still doing the games full price. Only Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell seem to be getting any discount.
