Ridge Racer only really stands out to me because it's my entry into the series.
People on the whole however want brand new and they want decent. New should not mean average.
I don't enjoy racing games (except Mario Kart which will make the 3DS quite tempting near Christmas), Nintendogs is no doubt a great game for kids but it's not for me, I've played through Zelda and Starfox numerous times back on my N64 and I own SSFIV on the 360 already, so there's very little (nothing actually) on that list that would make me want to shell out ?220 (what 3DS costs here) for the machine plus the price for games.

Talk about having to jump thru hoops lol
All you have to do is connect to the eShop before 12th August and you'll get the games. You can read the official line here.

I was only joking.
Anyway, Nintendo could really do with setting an official price for the 3DS in Europe. This "retailers set the price" thing is just stupid. They can't really effectively convey a price drop if there isn't a set figure to advertise. I mean, they can hardly say, "Nintendo 3DS: now cheaper" can they? Even if they get adverts out there touting better graphics, glasses-free 3D, etc. the people who have been put off by the high cost aren't going to change their mind. A solid new price advertised everywhere, however, might help to do that.
