Having just played one, seeing really is believing. I am certainly concerned about things like battery life and the potential of headaches from prolonged use (although most of my portable gaming is done at home so it's a moot point really).

I'm not expecting the 3DS to deliver a new gaming experience, I'm hoping it's going to give me an immersive expereince unmatched by other platforms. Based on the games I've played, it's going to do just that.

What did you play strider and which title left you feeling most impressed?

Quick question, who do you have to sex up to get invited to all these nintendo related things you seem to land?

Either that or you must spend a **** load of cash on their products - I'm not a believer of coincidence.

I only played one game, which I can't discuss. According to the guys who went to the Amsterdam trip the level of depth on Ocarina of Time was astounding and it was the best game though, due to have multi-layered 3d (most games were apparently just on 2 planes).

Mercenaries apparently had your man in the foreground and everything else was on a seperate level, so the effect is still there, but not like Ocarina, where apparently it featured 5-6 levels of depth, making it look much more immersive.

Note the use of apparently. I've only played one game myself and that was more like Zelda in its structure. It's interesting ass well,because it's a game I wouldn't have even considered, but after playing it I really enjoyed it.

I took 3D to mean actual 3D, not just two (or even 4-5) planes. I am understanding it correctly? Like, on the character in Mercenaries, the guy himself is flat and just standing out from a flat background?

Got an email from Eurogamer for it... London being close by is fine for me. Almost all the slots on Saturday had already gone (and I only got the email about 30 minutes ago!) so I picked Sunday instead.
