No. I was inning and aching over whether I would use it if I bought it as I don't use my DS Lite much. Sat here, at home in less harsh light the 3D effect is easier on my eyes and messing about with the AR cards is great fun!

I was trying to convince myself I didn't want one but now it's in my hands it's brilliant!!

But the only similarity is the Gamecube Zelda bonus disc, which already work on the Wii (obviously in Gamecube mode).
Port to Wii for the extra controller choice, no memory card and bigger sized disc?

That's what I was thinking, maybe if we're lucky it'll have the full version of WW instead of just a demo, though if Mario's treatment was anything to go by it most certainly won't...

And it'll probably cost about ?25 when I got the original for free after buying Eternal Darkness for ?20.

No games.

It's a Cosmos Black unit. It feels really nice in the hands but is prone to fingerprints. I've found turning the screen brightness down also helps make the 3D less over-powering.

just got hand on one in my local HMV (who now have it down to £220 with £20 of instore vouchers).

they only had the VR card things to show but I saw enough to be happy to leave my order in, the screen is really quite impressive.

I don't know glasgow but I'd imagine one Game in town (if there's more than one) will have one. Pre-order for launch is still possible I think.

I went into Leeds to have a go yesterday, just had a little go on faceraiders and the AR golf game. Screen was impressive, though whole thing felt a little weird, but I'm sure that would wear off.

I was checking out the deals at Argos from the competition link. I see they are doing a deal £259 with accessories kit, Ghost Recon and Rayman. Basically works out £20 per game with free accessories. Wonder if i can wangle a price match at Gamestation for that deal. Really want SF4 and Pilotwings but could get them cheaper elsewhere I guess

I had a shot on that Faceraiders game today. It all looks very nice, but it didn't make me want one there and then.

Shame I didn't get to play a 'proper' game but I was impressed with the 3D.

I didn't have enough time to judge the 3D effect, it seemed slightly weird. I'll have another go some other time.

Well considering the price everywhere is around £200 it's kinda £30 a game (same price as most places online) for two meh games and 'free' accessories.

I was at the Newcastle event today that happens not to be in Newcastle.

First off the bad

Steel Diver is the worst thing i can ever remember playing from Nintendo, it lacks in every area it is plain awful. I also did not get on with Ridge Racer much prefering Asphalt which shocked me. Ridge Racer felt rushed and it was jerky in places not impressed one bit.

Onto the good thank goodness only 2 games let me down. After playing today i still want Zelda more than ever but that has not been passed by Kid Icarus. The game just oozes quality and thought from the level design (was only a 1 level demo and a boss fight) to the use of 3D even the sound after playing for a minute i had the hang of the controls and i was rolling and battling, the game in the combat bits feels like a Zelda Metroid mash-up.

I also enjoyed Rabbids 3D, by far the least popular game at the event i got a lot of playtime on this and while it is certainly not groudbreaking or doing anythjing new, it appears to be an extrelely solid traditional platformer.

Streetfighter and DoA were both also great, but Streetfighter has to get my money over DoA due to the streetpass features.

Pro Evo is also going to revolutionise the camera in football games as the way it pans works not only to show of 3D but gives you a better sense of where players are and who to pass to or if a tackle is coming.

One last game to mention Resident Evil Mercenaries, this devided me and my mates. I think this is going to appeal more the the CoD fans rather than the traditional Resi players with a clear focus on action rather than exploring and puzzles.

I was suitably impressed. The girls demoing the units also told me Zelda is coming in June and Resi Mecenaries she thought was May but was a bit unsure.

I am tied to picking up my blue 3DS instore at game station where the machine is ?220. That is what I was comparing to.
Agree both games look iffy but I thought that about Ridge Racer but the reception has been very positive. I am interested to see some reviews (or even previews!) of all the Ubi games. I can't even find any decent footage of them on YouTube. Bit weird with only 3 weeks till launch

It's a shame the launch games don't interest me at all cos I really want the machine and think the extra features and VC on the way are great. I'm afraid to wait for games I really want to come out as it might be hens teeth by then.

A local shop is offering a decent bundle with one game, I could possibly be limited to what games they could get their hands on.
