Regarding the ONM offer( I picked up the magazine at lunch to read the 3ds stuff) the subs page states 19.99 per 6 months but a minimum sub of 12 months, so ridge racer will cost you 40 or 35 quid depending on if you get top cash back, and 150 units is all they have it states this at the top of the subs page, but you will get an item of similar value (monster hunter I bet)

Just had a good conversation with Game.

They have my preorder for the machine by itself.

I noticed that Monkey Ball is bundled in at £219.99 (£23 for the game) BUT if you order another game (RR for me) you can get that for £25 at the same time.

So I cancelled all my game orders and got SMB and RR for £48 with my existing pre-order. Worth it.

I'm more inclined to think that there'll be plenty of units available on launch but they'll slowly become more scarce as word of mouth grabs. I think word of mouth will be what really pushes the 3ds.

Nowhere when I ordered stated I was entering in to a 12 month deal- it only said 6. I even checked my email, it doesn't say that anywhere as far as I can see.

Just called them, that is sneaky as hell. This is a 12 month deal, and you end up paying £40. Nowhere did it say that to me, it's hidden in terms and conditions.

I've cancelled my order, that is an extremely shady business practice IMO.

It even says order total on my email £19.99. Surely if it's 12 issues it should say £39.98.

I didn't order it out of the mag. Might be worth actually checking the site and seeing that I'm right. So what I said stands.

That's a shame about the ONM offer, would have gone for it otherwise but chances of getting RR sound slim. Used to quite enjoy reading it back when it first changed from NOM.

Is there a Pikmin in the pipeline for the 3DS?

£5 for 12 issues is alright with me, especially if I only pay £15 up front, as long as I actually get RR I'll be happy. I followed the TCB link to the website, then pasted in the url Steve gave me and I've had an email from TCB to say I'll get cash back once the money goes out for the sub, so that's good, I wasn't sure if I'd done it 'til i saw the email.

I'm pretty sure they've changed the site now, when I ordered it only mentions the first 6 months and £20, nowhere did it say 2x £20= £40. I even have an email where it says grand total £20.

If you do it on the site now it says £40.

And in response to the terms and conditions comment, most people don't bother reading that. Including another charge in that is sneaky and underhand imo. It's not like i'm a regular to subscribing to magazines and wouldn't think twice to check the terms and conditions for something concerning entering into a 12 month contract basically.

Played Street Fighter 4 and Pilotwings in Game today, really impressed with both. I found it easy to pull off moves on Street Fighter using the slider. The 3D looked lovely in both games. Can't wait.

Surprising it worked when I went through the TCB link and then just changed the url. I got an email confirming that TCB had tracked the transaction
