Sure, there are a lot of haters gonna hate etc.

BUT...you must learn to respect the opinions of others, not everyone is gonna like it. Live with it. Respect it. It's what makes gaming so interesting.
Sorry to butt into this deep conversation but you do realise people come on forums to discuss different opinions right?

I always find it funny when people get all defensive about their "opinion". Whats the point in acusing people of "attacking" you just becuase they think you are wrong?. Just becuase someone thinks youre talking a load of rubbish it doesnt mean you should get all upset, not if you are sure of what you think anyway.

I also find it funny when people say others must "respect" opinions, how do you go about that exactly? by simply saying ok and moving on? Thats never going to happen, if people dont agree they will tell you, they have no reason in a forum not to be completely honest about what they think.

People need to learn to relax more, nothing anyone says on here has any real effect on anyones life.

I also have to agree with Party Boy that some people just seem completely against the 3DS. Though having said that in a few months when the 3D effect has destroyed my eyes I might end up agreeing that its awful.

My Amazon 3DS never arrived today despite them emailing me late yesterday evening to say it would and apologising for not getting it to me on release. So far they have reimbursed me ?0.68! They split the package against my wishes as it was always listed as group my items order and by doing so made it impossible for me to cancel the 3DS dispatch on Thursday afternoon when it was clear there were going to be problems. This has also made them think they only owe me ?0.68 for the shipping when they charge me for the two other parcels they created by splitting my order. It's a bit of a farce really I had 4 telephone conversations and 2 emails with them and everything they said and did was wrong now matter how sincere their intentions. Having checked my original pre-order invoice I note that I had selected 1st class postage yet Amazon saw fit to change this to expedited, something else to moan at them about I suppose. Will be taking it up with them on Monday.
I have similar they don't have a clue type responses.

1st reply from them, they said they'd refund me ?3.25 for delivery.
In my 2nd contact, I said that refunding my delivery as a goodwill gesture is unacceptable as they didn't deliver!
      They said:
"Further I can confirm that we have not issued the refund for the delivery charge as a goodwill gesture, but we have issued it as we have not meet our promise and for the inconvenience caused to our customers."

10 minutes later, I received a refund of 68p stating:
"The following is the breakdown of your refund for this item:
      Goodwill Refund: ?0.68"

I also complained that my order was 'dispatching soon' for 7 hours.
They said "We are sure you can appreciate that our Fulfilment Centre is vast and that we process thousands of orders each day. "

I wonder if they will refund me the remaining ?2.57 (I presume expedited cost 3.50? I only paid for 1st class and they upgraded)

Oddly, one game 3DS makes me think of is Spiderman 2. Imagine leaping off the Empire State Building on this

You're more than welcome to butt into the conversation as far as I'm concerned! I'm not sure you're showing enough respect though, I guess we both have much to learn, haha.

Can someone answer this, 'cause its just a thought that's popped up.
If the game saves are stored on the SD card, does that mean that I can save these game saves onto my PC and also perhaps, transfer this on a different same region 3DS?

Also, the 'limited time only' 3D vid we get now from Nintendo, is there anyway we can back this upto PC and watch later?
Im pretty sure the only saves that are stored to the sd card will be ones from downloaded stuff. Cartridge games the saves are still stored on the cart itself. And no i doubt you will be able to use the saves between regions unless you can hack the region flag in the save file.

I hope mine gets here tomorrow. If not I'm going to do a Raoul Moat on DHL staff.

Called them earlier (lunch) to fix my address, did that all fine and dandy and now I just had to contact them again as per the instructions on the tracking as the new info mustn't have gone through to the right people.

Funnily enough I decided to email Amazon just before you posted this, and they've just now responded with an offer of a ?3.00 gift voucher trouble is they started their reply Dear Customer! That has wound me up no end, if you want to be all impersonal in the content of your email Amazon that's fine, but at the very least use my name at the beginning!

TBH I really wasn't all that bothered before but that was like a red flag to a bull and I've felt like I had to fire off a proper email about how in contempt that musty hold their customers. Not just failing to use their names but also how badly they dealt with the accepting and processing of pre-orders, not just mine but everyone they failed to deliver on.

I'm chilled really but my email paints a different picture.

I too wish that replays could have been saved to SD card, I have witnessed some wonderful moments already. Messi wrapping his leg over a whipped corner from Xavi to volley in against Inter Milan. Iniesta getting felled outside the area and whilst still tumbling the ball breaking back to Villa to curl a shot into the net. Pedro firing in a thunderbolt from a ridiculous angle to beat OL's Lloris high at his near post in off the angle of crossbar and post. Everything feels more alive on the pitch. It's winning me over.
Sounds good boys. Was listening to some impressions on WENB too. Wish I had a spare £200. Gonna trade in my original DS soon to muster some credit. PES 2011 sounds really great fun especially with the 3D effects.

Pro Evo is very bare bones, and shows up a few of the problems the 3DS has. Firstly, the 3D is nothing more than a superficial gimmick, that adds zero to gameplay. In fact, in Pro Evo's case, its actually quite detrimental. There are about 5 camera views, 3 of which are clearly designed around the 3D feature. They're all pretty much unplayable. The other 2 work better, (still not ideal though), tellingly the 3D is minimal on these. Overall though, it just feels like a highly cut down cheap cash in, the gameplay is dull and lifeless with far too many compromises, and there are some occasional nasty framerate drops to boot. It also makes the other big problem with the 3DS apparent, its basic controls.

Unless you want to end up with a hand like Jeremy Beadle, the left bumper is pretty much useless whilst using the dpad or stick. Clearly there should be at least one well positioned button on the rear of the machine, and a second stick really would have made a world of difference to most games.

In my opinion Nintendo have invested far too much time and effort chasing 3D. They should have given it up long ago. There are a crazy amount of complaints about ill effects flying around, from severe eye strain to migraines, double vision to trouble seeing properly when off the machine. All this could see Nintendo ending up in a world of **** a few months down the line. They'd have been better off dropping the 3D and making a more powerful machine, which would in turn improve gameplay (better AI, physics, framerates etc), and focused on evolving basic handheld controls and brand new IP/play experiences.

Streetpass and the associated mini games are a brilliant idea, giving out play coins for walking around and exercising is a brilliant idea, game notes is a great idea (would have been lovely to see more options for sketching), Mii Maker is still one of the best things Nintendo have ever done. These kind of things are what Nintendo now do best. They do not need 3D at all. We didn't need 3D for SMW, we didn't need 3D for Ocarina, we didn't need 3D for Mario 64. We still don't need 3D now. Its pointless.

I went for an Hori Easy Pouch as it isn't as bulky as the rest of the cases I've seen. Looks a bit like a pencil case mind, it is well padded though and has an holder for 2 carts.

I bought a Big Ben made Flip n Play case from Gamestation. It's a very nice case. Faux leather with a spare stylus and a little stylus slot on the hinge, which is much easier to reach for quickly than the one on the machine.
The 3DS clips in and out very easily and it's nice to be able to play without taking the machine from the case. Only issue is the hinge is stiff at first so it's hard to bend it down during use to use the 3D camera and also slightly tricky to use the shoulder buttons. But as I said it's a doddle to unclip the case and play your 3DS naked so its not a huge problem

I went to Game today and was curious to see if their demo 3DS had a wobble on the top lid like my 3DS and that one wobbled but not as much as mine, it certainly was more sturdier.

I really dunno if I should send mine back as I already have about 8 hours game play on Ridge Racer 3DS...

Mine is wobbly too. I noticed it when on a bus yesterday as the bus was bumpy. Didn't notice playing at home just sitting still though. Not really sure what to do either.

Well, I was swaying towards keeping this again today, then got that feeling of emptyness after playing it for a few hrs.
Then I saw that Amazon/Play are selling a DSi XL for £115, which I think I'd get more out of right now considering I've got a stockpile of DS games sitting here, & they'd look 10 times better on a larger screen.

Seriously thinking of dropping this 3DS into CEx now for £200.
