I can see it now. Just seems weird as they've never numbered the Mario Kart series and I don't see how it's more marketable. Unless Nintendo is going to try and down play the 3D aspects of their stuff from here onwards.

It's going to be in 7D!

I wonder if Sony will adjust the price of PSV down in light of this announcement. Maybe wifi to ?199 and 3G to ?250

The price drop announcement that is, not the Mario Kar7 announcement :-)

Maybe. Dunno. Certainly very un-Nintendo-like to 'number' new games in an established series like that.

                    2. By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi’s Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Minigame Mania and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on Nintendo 3DS in the future.
                    All is forgiven Nintendo!

                    That is pretty damn nice!

Hell fire!! When I read about it at first (stateside wise) I was pretty sceptical as to whether this would happen actually in the UK. Fantastic news indeed, there are some bloody great games there that (for me anyway) more than make up for the price drop .

Nintendo states it's aware that the free games might still not be enough to please early adopters. It's refreshing to see a fairly humble stance from Ninty

Nintendo has re-named this year's twin 3DS Mario titles and given both rough release dates.

Mario is now officially title Super Mario 3D Land too. Nice little retro name there

Yes it is nice to see. This offer is probably the best freebie I have ever seen in gaming. I am more than happy with the compensation and looking around the net it seems to be a common sentiment. They could have palmed us off with some obscure crap titles but didn't and gave us the best GBA games ever released. If they can throw Advanced Wars in there it would be perfect.Question on this. I have two 3DS but not bought anything from the eshop yet. I tied both machines to my stars account so will it recognize my purchases on the second machine? I guess I will find out soon when I buy Let's Golf if it activates for purchase today

Well I've always been happy with my 3DS overal apart from a few little annoyances, so some fee games is cool.

In my humble opinion, f*** the early adopters who are whining. Nintendo doesn't owe them anything. They should be thankful they get anything at all, not to mention a generous selection of top-quality games.
