A few people have reduced binocular vision and can't see in natural stereoscopic vision all the time, these will be the only people who can't the 3D. For everyone else it's just down to how easy your brain is able to adapt to the 3D images being presented in a different wayLast edited by EvilBoris; 30-07-2011, 18:26.

I can see the 3d effect just fine, however i find myself just sticking with 2d....at first due to the extremely limited viewing angle of the 3d effect, and after this the novelty just wore off for me. Zelda is far and away the best example of 3d but it turns into a comedy show when you want to use the gyroscopic controls, and at the same time try and stay within the 0.3 degree viewing angle.
I also think that enjoying 3d on the big screen(or slightly big screen at home lol) is different altogether than experiencing it on a tiny portable screen......i just feel like i can more than happily do without. For this reason i think the 3d should have been more of a nice extra feature rather than a main selling point.

I think 3D as a whole isn't catching on as much as many companies would like. TV sales don't seem high, cinema 3D attendance is dropping, and the 3DS sales are underwhelming. I keep hoping it'll just go away

I unfortunately am one of the few who is completely lost with 3d bought a 3ds at launch and it went a few days later as I couldn't see it tried the cinema too and again no joy so I for one really hope it does not mean everything 3d in the future. I am thinking about getting another and as I only tried ridge and ssf for those that have one is the 2d ok or does it wreck most games?
Oh and for me is because I have a prism in my glasses it knocks of the mid point that you need to see it (the 3d sweet spot as it were)

I think 3D's good when done properly. It's just there aren't many examples of that. Converting films that were made normally into 3D just for increased ticket prices or forcing games into 3D and seeing framerate suffer as a result isn't the way to go. If developers can't offer proper HD, locked 60fps console games then they shouldn't even be thinking about 3D yet. The cheap and tacky approach just damages the perception of the effect. It makes me wish there was some kind of 3D standards board that governed this stuff like James Cameron was talking about a while ago.

You bunch of grouches. I love 3D. In fact, due to the wonder that are my eyes, I see in 3D most of the time (when I open them both simultaneously). So I'm glad screens are finally beginning to catch up. That said, I'm not buying anything I need special glasses for but the 3D on 3DS is great for me.
In fact, it's all the other stuff I could do without. I'd be happy with a GBA type setup but with more power and 3D. Sure, I'd miss out on Ouendan, but the upside is I'd also miss out on blowing into the mic for no real reason so swings and roundabouts and all that.

Wohooo waiting to buy Qixx for free
3D can add something if it`s done properly ala Avatar. The loss of colour does not always help 3D as a concept like used in HP7Beathly... But it can make a difference I believe when used in a certain way.
