Did you get your 3DS on to the shop before the cut off date? It not registering that properly would be the only thing I could think of. Isn't there an online registration tool where you can check if you're registered for them? Have you tried that?

All in all i'm pissed with Nintendo. The free games I've played before and have little interest in revisiting, and to play some of the gamse I do want an ugly hardware addon is required. So yeah, paying top dollar for an unfinished product :/

Sold mine a few weeks back after owning all of two games for the system, i got an ok price for it but the resale value has nose dived in recent weeks, if you compare what a dsi sells for to what a 3ds sells for on ebay you really get a decent picture of how the value has fallen off this, ( a dsi is just under a ?100 and a 3ds is just over its crazy) I know you dont buy consoles to sell them on but looking at resale really gives you an idea of the genral publics perception and overall demand for these devices. The genral public dosent know the difference between a ds and a 3ds and core gamers are pissed at the crapy add on/retro fitted controll stick.Last edited by Lebowski; 25-09-2011, 08:40.

Considering getting a flame red one on Friday but I know that given a few weeks I'll be bored again.

I wouldnt bother teddymeow.
I bought mine on launch day, & within a wk realised I'd made a terrible mistake based on media hype. Boring games, some old ones rebranded, 3D effect not as great as expected due to the small screen.
Sold it to CeX for ?200 cash.
Bought a PSP, & love it. Best decision made on a handheld.
I hear theyre releasing a new version of the 3DS in March. I'd be well pissed now if I'd kept mine.

I'm very undecided on this. On the one hand Mario Kart 7 is one of my most anticipated games this years, but I really want to sell the machine while I can get something for it. As soon as the new version is announced (I'm guessing announced within february) it will be worthless. And I also find the moist on the screen to be really distracting when playing. And the buttons are crap, it has zero battery life, really poor screen etc...

I think late next year is a good estimate if we're to assume they won't release anything within the same period as the WiiU. If we're to assume the Vita will launch in the west before E3 next year, then Nintendo would want to come out with a convincing reveal of revised hardware at E3 next year.

This week's eShop update gifts gamers a free and updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.
For the 3DS faithful, this weeks eStore release is the VC release of Super Mario Land 2. Bigger news is that from this week the free updated release of Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition will be available
