Y'know, I forgot what a downer a lot of people have for the 3ds on here.. Sure, personal opinion and all that, it's just a shame I suppose.

I seem to remember when the ds came out there was a lot more positivity here about it, even through its early period game drought.

Anyway, good news about Revelations, another (hopefully) quality release after what looks like a very strong holiday season line up.

It's not about being negative for the sake of it, a lot of people seem to believe this product isn't up to scratch, even nintendo themselves have admitted this with the side pad fiasco. If you look at the original phat ds to ds lite transformation you can see the cycle repeating, nintendo are going to redesign and relaunch this device its a done deal.

Totally agree if ur not happy with ur machine sell it and move on and leave this section to people who are enjoying it

Lol, news and healthy discussion, if you don't want to hear both sides of the coin maybe you shouldn't be posting on a forum that promotes healthy discussion , a nintendo fan forum might be more the place to not hear anything bad about the 3ds.

It's not even healthy its just constant whining and moaning about the 3ds it should be the other way around because I ain't no fan boy I enjoy games on any system.It just seems to be a place to put the boot in into the 3ds on a regular basis,so I'm sorry but I don't find that HEALTHY one bit

I almost gave up on it but that was down to needing some cash and I didn't in the end sell it as CEX were offering magic beans. I'm glad I didn't as there's almost too many games coming out by the end of the year plus I'd have regretted breaking my "never selling a machine" record. I don't mind if there's a new release as long as a possible additional right stick doesn't impair me.

I guess Nintendo will always release their machines in millions of new colours, I'd probably get the 3DS in red if I didn't already have one but the Aqua blue is a nice colour anyway. I thought purple was a great launch colour for the cube though I very nearly bought an NTSC spice orange one as well. I have the red Wii but I'd have loved a NES styled one that people did mock ups of before it was released.

I think alot of people are pissed off, having spent over ?200 on the console and games, only to find hardly any strong first party support, what accounts to drip feed of decent titles and n64 rehashes. Thank *uck i got rid of mine before the price fall..

At least Nintendo are still giving out free stuff to the people who have kept their's.

After the GBA games are released it will mean they have given away around 100 pounds worth of games free to people.

Thats very nice of them IMO and a nice reward for people who have had patientice with the system.

It's like has been said ad nauseum in this thread. Though the ball was slow to start rolling, in it's first year the 3DS will have had the likes of:

-Starfox 64 3D
-Resident Evil: Mercenaries
-Resident Evil: Revelations

-Mario Kart 7
-Blazblue: Continuum Shift 2
-Cave Story 3D
-Nintendogs
-Sonic Generations
-Monster Hunter 3G
-Luigi's Mansion 2 (possibly)

Which frankly isn't that bad. There'll be plenty folk who will say that that doesn't represent the kind of games they wanted but it's such a typical Nintendo list of games that frankly they should have known better when the system came out.

There has been plenty of well considered criticism in this thread but there has also been plenty of examples of borderline trolling too. It's not 3DS specific though, for the last year or two it's been a slowly growing thing on the boards for some releases. Either way, 7 months on from release, anyone who doesn't like their 3DS or the games coming should have sold up and jogged on by now.

Those are some really good games, I dont think many other Nintendo consoles have actualy had that many good games within the first year.
