One thing I am worried about is that everything looks so precise. Almost like the player never lose control or mess up a dribble.

The goalkeepers are not rubbish, so there is no need for Konami to "acknowledge" that. That is just one rare goalkeeping "mistake" (not sure if I would even call it that), nothing major at all.
In real football do goalkeepers not make the odd bad judgement here and there?! They are certainly not perfect all the time.....I'm sure most of you would agree with that, right? Well, that is the case with that Danny goal. In any case if the goalkeeper dived would he have saved the shot?! I don't think so.
You will find out on Wednesday from various sources that the goalkeepers in PES 2011 are not only fixed but react superbly in all sorts of situations.
Stoppy2000, no offense but it seems like you should stick to FIFA as you will probably slate PES no matter what Konami do.
PES has been poor over the last three years and been (rightly) shunned by the majority for that. Not this year though, PES 2011 is fantastic.
EDIT - Players do lose control over the ball and they do mess up dribbles. Nothing to be worried about there. The only thing I am "worried" about now is the online, if they nail that then I can't see me playing FIFA 11.Last edited by ezee ryder; 03-08-2010, 18:27.

Cheers Ezee. Glad to hear that.
I will still be getting Fifa first this year, after all I spend far too long on clubs but PES is looking like a buy also. The strides Konami seem to have made in a year really are huge.
Going by feedback on the Fifa forum a lot of people are very impressed with PES and not happy with EAs output of late.
Could see a huge swing by next years titles.

I am not a FIFA fanboy - I bought pes year after year until 09 when it became apparent that they were just abusing the fan loyalty! When EA start to do the same then I will have a problem with them. FIFA 09 & 10 plus World Cup have all been different enough to warrant me purchasing them and enjoying.
Let me just state I would LOVE pes to be good again - but that video just looks like where pes should have been 3 years ago.
ps no i would not expect that Danny shot to be saved but closing the ball down and attempting a dive might have made it look better.

If they are bad in the demo then it would probably be the post E3 code but I'm certain Konami won't release that as a taster of the full game. The demo will probably be the Gamescom code and the goalkeepers (just like they are in this preview build) will be working fine.
Oh and the goalkeepers in FIFA 10 are nothing special. They make quite a few mistakes, despite EA saying they were "fixed" or much improved over FIFA 09.
I look forward to reading your impressions after you play the demo, should be interesting either way.

Jolly good - out of interest what did you think of pes 2010? I thought it was awful (graphics were good though). Is this new pes miles better than that?? Also where/how have you played the new one so early??

PES 2011 is 1.5 million miles better than PES 2010. I've played it this early thanks to being the Editor-in-Chief of a gaming website (GodisaGeek.com). Impressions can be found here, http://www.godisageek.com/pes-2011/
Bare in mind though, last impressions were of the post E3 code. Preview code impressions should be coming soon.

It's interesting. When we say "PES is back", do we mean we are happy to see it playing and in a way, looking look the PES of old we know and love?
Naka's comment on things looking too precise made me think that this is something that can be said of old PES. Personally, I don't like this 360 degrees dribbling that seems to be 'a must' requirement for this generation of games. I prefer guessing which of the 8 directions my opponent is going to go.
I look forward to PES2011. I just hope it hasn't fell victim to some of the "must have" next gen requirements.

Fair enough if you prefer 8 way control but for me it hampers the game so much. Gone is ability to squeeze through any gap and also the ability to slow down to a slow jog.
ISS 64 had 360 dribbling and is one of the reasons the N64 Konami titles were considered so good.
With this footage, it looks like Konami have quite a nice balance. Ok I feel it does look a little digital and precise at times but also it seems quite free. I can't see why that is but I would imagine it is down to the game still have dpad control.

Any new Stadiums and changes/additions to the edit mode, ezee?
All I will say for now is edit mode is looking good. The stadium editor that was revealed a while back is certainly very interesting.
