The first thing I noticed when I signed in to check it all out was my Avatar wasn't wearing any of my Awards and the Save Carmine T-Shirt I bought isn't working either.

Apart from the fact my Avatar isn't wearing this T-Shirt or the Awards, it doesn't look any different.

I had a browse around it and it does feel quicker, but I'm not sure what to make of it at the moment, in visual terms it feels like a step back for the NXE.

Gave this a quick whirl this morning. Other than my Transformers tshirt being missing, I really rather like it. Nice and clean, and a very quick. I like it.

Zune is for us btw. Zune pass launched (or is launching) in the UK now. £9.99 a month iirc.

How fast is it in-game? Does it still lag when you call it up and do stuff?

Avatars - Minor changes have been made to Avatars in order to better work with certain Kinect games. Please note that during the Preview, some Avatar items in your closet may not be available. It does seem a lot faster. I'm one of those people with loads of Indie games installed which caused the Game Library to take an age to populate, but it's really fast now. However, I have a sneaking suspicion this is only because so few people are using the service at the moment. When I try to load an Indie game, I get a message saying I need to download and apply an update, but when you select OK it just takes you back to the Game Library, which then takes ages to re-populate . Attempts to reload the game give the same error.

This is why I don't get involved in betas of the firmware that runs my games. It will have bugs. Bugs that stop you playing your games.

How do you view or submit feedback on this update? The Connect site has changed since the last dash preview, where you were able to participate in discussions/surveys/feedback and I can't see any of that for this latest one.

I wish they would stop ****ing around with how it looks and actually make it run faster, and make it all less convoluted.

How many years into this console now? I don't want to see the circle telling me something is loading. Guide button FTW.

Even if they can just have it so that when you start the console it goes straight to the MY XBOX section, ready to play the game inserted I'll be happy, rather than going to the ****ing advertising every single time

Just put your xbox auto sign in and auto disc read and you will be sorted, no dash faffing and just boots the game you have in drive.
