You don't have to use the avatar as your gamerpic, so just skip that bit and you're ok. If everyone had an avatar gamerpic it would be a bit bland imo.

0g Arcade demos only I think - will test tomorrow, if I can find the option (the interface is not intuitive for me).

It's just 0g games in general. I've done it. You just press X on the game when you're browsing your achievement list.

Yeah, I got rid of at least seven trial games with 0 and Chromehounds (the game which broke my first ever 360).

Also liked the new colour space options for HDMI users (Auto, Source, RGB, YCbCr709 or YCbCr601.)

If you do it on the dash you can make them wave. I forget which one it is now but you can also make them pull expressions in creation mode and make them pull faces during photo mode (I think it's left bumper?).

Not sure if these translate over to Party mode or some such thing?

          Camp standing avatar says "HI!"

Couldn't seem to get mine to do anything (other than burp) unless I left him alone for a bit, and then I had to be quick with the photo button.

Would be useful to be able to pick from the last half a dozen, or so, photos for the gamer pic, now I think about it.

I'm also not sure why they decided that when you set the picture as your avatar, it becomes your main public gamerpic and you don't get the choice of making it your public or private.

You can always change it back but obviously you have to go through the menu's, which seemed a bit of an odd oversight.

That's clever! That'll be the image used by the 360 in the new Friends List.

I'm appreciating the installs. The 360 fans are still too loud, but once in a game that noise is "hidden". Not having the DVD spinning is a HUGE bonus for me

looks remarkably like me i think

the live issue is being looked into by MS according to the major

is there any way of setting the default start block to my xbox rather than spotlight?

First quick tip go to system settings and you can disable the splash intro

You dont have to 3d for friends you can press guide and bring the old list up.

The whole standard system is totally different in layout though its basically like going to a new machine so it does take time to get used to.

I really like it. The fonts are much better and dont look low textured which was always a bug bear with me when a friend signed in. Its now very clean and its pretty much media centre slides type.

Game install takes about 12mins for something like GOW2 (I installed 9 games in 2hours) at first it was wtf where do I install it but you put the game in and go to my profile on the game and instead of launching press Y and thats it it installs and you can still chat etc with guide button it dont lock you like say RB download content did. I didnt test any was too tired and in too much of a bad mood after finishing CODWAW with its cheating AI lol

Themes yep totally pointless now unless you use the new premium ones. The free GOW2 premium one shows the 3d images of your friends in a GOW2 theme

It now has a switch machine off in the guide. Pretty much everything that went before is via left and right in the guide old style and new style is big push and pull boxes. I really like the way the market place stuff shows what it looks like same with when you put a game in you get a picture of it.

Finding anything from friends to your own scores to download content is miles miles faster now as well.

                                Overall very impressed

                                My pimp
