I went to the midnight launch of GTA IV and places like asda, game, game station sold out... I managed to get it in the end on launch day during my lunch hour at work... But this time I had my preorder in last November, not that it guarantees anything... I'll be racing back home tomorrow to play it! Might hafta pop back at lunch time to do it

There is actually a risk that it will sell out, previous games in the series have. A midnight launch is dead exciting!

GTAIV was the first midnight launch I ever went to, at my local Asda. It was soul crushing but then that's Asda for you at 12am. Not sure why I went at midnight to be honest. 3, Vice and Andreas were all plentifully stocked, I think it was part of the mania beig one of the two first epic releases (along with MGS4) this gen.

That was just under 5 years and 5 months ago

The next morning GTAIV was plentiful too. I imagine this will be as well.

A few years ago I would have been going the local Tesco/Asda to try and get myself a copy but I just can't be bothered nowadays, for one thing it's too cold to be out this time of night and I'm to tired to even attempt to play anything. Jesus I'm getting old

I just think that anyone standing outside in the cold for 4 hrs for a launch game/system is a sad f**ker.
They're always full of geeks chatting away about said game/system & wetting themselves over it all. Its just a new game/system ffs!

Mine was despatched yesterday (Mon). If it turns up today well that's great. If it doesn't then I'm not gonna throw my toys out of my cot. It'll turn up when it turns up.
