What has everyone been playing this week? 2

Been playing a fair amount of LEGO Marvel Superheroes on Xbox One this week.

I rinsed it on PS4 back on release but have felt the hankering for some relaxed, fun gameplay so started again.

It's still great.

Just wish LEGO Jurassic World would drop below ?30.

Minecraft, Max and the curse of brotherhood (which is a really nice little platformer) and Killer instinct.

Lode Runner DS. Hilarious. Essential for all DS owners.

Rayman Legends. Great difficulty curve. Challenges of the Day are awesome too.

Skate. One of the best games ever. EA, my fave game company in the whole world, have turned off the servers though, because they are old and wise. Got it again for the SP though.

I have been playing pretty much nothing. A gaming wasteland right now for me. I got Streets of Rage 2 on 3DS. Looks great but I find those games boring after about 3 minutes. Have other games I never finished. Might go back to Metroid Prime.

Is that Just Cause 3 Blood thingy any good? Heard the soundtrack because I love Power Glove but haven't played the game.

Edit: Not Just Cause. It's Far Cry.

Can't get into anything. Have tried a couple of games each night for last week.or so. Rocket League is brilliant but can't be arsed. Pso2 had my attention for a couple of hours. Fallout 3, morrowind, witcher, deus ex... Nothing. Gonna try Stalker this evening.

I did a month ago and had an awesome Friday evening with whiskey and the speakers turned up. It's so funny and the actual gameplay is decent. I think it gets away with some cheap stuff because of the premise but the Terminator visual effect is cool and the music is brilliant. The tutorials poke fun at tutorials and the missions are typically absurd in an 80's action kinda way(e.g. provide covering fire while your partner downloads the CPU to his cortex!) and they use terms like mainframe.

Oh, and there's tons of swearing. And the opening scene is you in a helicopter blowing up buildings.

I'll be on my lonesome this Friday evening so I think I'll break it out once more and have a blast.

FFX HD. The cloisters are the worst thing ever. Well. It's a toss up between that and Blitzball. Just awful. I'd rather play the Moogle minigame from FFVII over and over again than suffer through much more of this pus.

With so little game time this week it's purely been Mario Kart 8. It's so damned good, easily my favourite WiiU game and still I think better than anything out this year let alone last year

Decided to drop Witcher 3 for now, maybe a third of the way in and whilst it certainly has its strengths I'm finding it a bit dry and dull so figured returning to it later for another burst might help. It's good generally but has no risk of being my goty.

Played some 1954 Alcatraz, not played a point and click in years and this ones an easy reintro. It's okay, does the job.

Also, remembered I had Life is Strange Ep 4. Nearly done in one sitting, still love it.

Probably the final push on EDF4 as I'm looking to get a PS4 and EDF4.1 in the next week or so.

Dying profusely so it doesn't bode well for us long-term but it'll be fun while it lasts!

Nailed Max:COB on xbox one and 360. Liked it far more than I thought I would.
