I'm waiting for my larger SD card from Amazon. I ordered it and it was despatched on Thursday, but no sign of it yet. It's predicted for Christmas Eve, problem is that I'm going on a trip and really need it on Tuesday. Hopefully it'll arrive a bit early, as I want to redownload everything I had to delete for Resident Evil.

Gambit, the AUS model IS the Euro model (stuff in the packaging says so).

Nakamura, I went with the regular even though I had a 3DSXL. The larger screens are a perfect middle ground for me, and the smaller unit is advantageous.

Yeah I has heard the screen was bigger but not sure it's enough. Improved 3D is a boon though, as are faceplates and SuFami buttons.

Yup, my tracking definitely estimates NYE delivery.

How this is happening? Hell if I know! HK to mainland China to Germany to London!?

All I'll say is that I hope FedEx are paying him well enough.

It's no biggie! Just pointing it out because I remember it stemming from big release threads that would go from discussion to pages of shipping updates which sometimes then got in the way of the actual discussion. Honestly don't mind (there hasn't been those pages of updates here) - just remembered about it so thought I'd point it out in case the updates were better placed there.

I've started to buy back games for my new 3ds xl.Bought Luigi's Mansion, Star Fox and Resident Evil Revelations

Quick impressions:

Nintendo you utter muppets. Why do you make it so tricky to transfer stuff from one system to another? Constant "are you sure" messages and warnings about data loss. I chose to transfer over wifi which seemed to move my settings and NNID over but none of my software. Cue redownloading all my games from the eShop.

I've got a standard white console and it feels really nice in the hands. Smooth matte plastic over shiny any day of the week.

I like the placement of the operation buttons (like start, select, volume) far better than on the old XL.

Games look great on the smaller screen. I didn't like the pixelated mess of some games on the XL so to go back to this and have games looks nice and crisp again is wonderful.

Face plates are really easy to change.

Analogue nubbin and ZR ZL buttons are going to take a while to get used to.

Me likey and yet I'm not sure if I'll keep it. Maybe I'm over handheld gaming.

I feel like I'm over handheld gaming personally. The PSP totally spoiled me in a way that no other system will ever match. Completely open platform after being exploited and that had basically every piece of software you care to name being made for it.

Famitsu GBL and my PSP-1000 keep me completely happy on that front.



Until Nintendo create a new generation of Pok?mon at least.

Thanks Asura. I've got a 32GB in my phone and a spare 8Gb somewhere so I'll swap them over.

The 32GB was for music when I was catching the train but isn't needed now. Means I can go all digital with the 3DS like I did the Vita. Less to lose.

I too am all digital with PS4 and Vita. So wanted to with New Nintendo 3DS but such a risk as everything tied to machine. So scared if lost stolen/damaged games gone forever.

Glad your enjoying the system above it really is so much better than the original 3DS in so many ways.

The 3DS isn't really "there" yet, either - many good games aren't available digitally.

For the game re downloads, did they find the save games on the new memory card ok? Essentially after all your struggles nothing has been lost right?
