Not got time to read the last lot of posts about controller battery but skimming through it seems that the controller only needs to be charged every year and a half. Well done Sony.

Excellent news. I will be putting my usb charge cable straight on eBay and then re-purchase another in 2015 for much less.

Or less if you travel back in time and swap it for a new one.

Think I might buy one of those official controller charge cradles even tho it's ?25 I don't want to spend.

I often charge my Wii U pro controller and DS3 from a USB mains adaptor, is there risk of overloading the battery charging the pads this way?
