You are spot-on here. From the 3DS to the messy Wii-U announcements, Nintendo seem to be buggering up this end of things on a regular basis now.

Quality film! Daddy's got the 3ds and f**k you kiddie, you take the ****ty 2ds.

I reckon Nintendo are going for middle America, scared the 3ds will blind their kids.

How does that compare with the two current models?

It compares poorly, Game have the standard 3DS for ?135. Not being funny but ?110 is hardly what I would call budget price. It's just completely crazy and could be very confusing.

The 2 in the title is vital. Parents might understand it's a new DS with new games and buy it in droves for their kids this Xmas. Nobody uses the 3d anyway.

Although they might not get what games it actually plays unless Nintendo plaster PLAYS ALL DS BRAND GAMES on the box.

I'm holding off for the 2DS XL.

Yeah, on price it doesn't seem enough of a drop.

                              Wait what, this is real?

Looks like some kind of handheld made by Ben Heck or something.

3DS is ?139.99, XL is ?179.99. It's not much of a saving really. Factor in the case at ?10, and a game at ?30-?50 and it comes out rather expensive as a child's version. There's no mention if there's an included PSU, but I'd guess that there is personally.
                                Kept you waiting, huh?
