Is that the We're from the awards bit (was it Were great or something like that)..please tell us who was responsible for that!!

I would check my back issues but Ive been using as packaging (after reading from cover to cover of course), I find them much better for such a use than your closest competitors.

            Strange fetish. Mounting magazines.

This thread has become more twisty/turny than a plate full of wriggling worms. Was it the scores on a magazine that was supposed to have been discussed at one point?

Yep. And the worst thing is when you spot a mistake, point it out to the editor, and the magazine's released with it uncorrected.

And then Andy blames me for the fact that he spelt it "annouced" three times on one page, even after I'd told him about it three times. Gah.

I've just checked the magazine and I'd like to say that the whole 50MHz thing is nothing to do with me, it was added in [square brackets] by someone to further explain what one of the quotes was all about.

I think that means I'm now clear, able to wonder the lands carefree...

Ooh. This is intriguing. Where's Sherlock when you need him?

Find them and burn them. The extra M should be a capital crime.

Burn them? Okay, I'll light the first match... I've re-read the article and have found the offending MHz and, well, it *was* me that added the wrong text.
Before The Shape starts crowing about my incompetence, I'd like to point out that the bracketed comment was included for clarification and the 'M' was a typo - after all, what's the point of trying to explain something only to make it wrong?
So apologies to PeteJ, who is clear of any blame in this matter, and thanks to everyone who got embroiled in this rather strange thread for their, er, constructive comments.
I've already had plenty of stick about this, and you can rest assured that there's always a sly dig in waiting at gamesTM Towers every time a mistake gets through (in a terribly good-natured way, you understand).
In future, if anyone does notice a f*ck-up then feel free to PM me or email the mag. I mean, there's not much anyone can do about it once the mag's printed, but feedback is always useful.
Oh, and the 'genious' and 'were brilliant' really were nothing to do with me. Ask MartTM, he'll back me up if he knows what's good for him.

I couldn't possibly comment - the only people it could have been have already made those monkeys jump long ago, so the blame appears to have been flushed along with gamesTM's pet alligator (it got too big and starting biting our ankles).

And if you don't know what monkey jumping is, you've obviously never been on a motivational management training course.

Watcha and all that. Bought the magazine for the first time (hey, I couldn't find Edge anywhere!). Good job. Kongetsu (spelling?) made me laugh out loud several times. Good job on the Splinter Cell preview. Nice to see you waited till you actually had some proper info on that game before previewing it (unlike OXM UK...).

Your writing is clear and easy to follow.
                              One gripe.

In your Mario Games Family tree (or whatever), down by the Mario & Luigi, Superstar Saga box, some muppet writes (paraphrasing, I'm writing this at the library):

"Judging by the visuals, we're not expecting much."

I take it this muppet was taken out back and shot. One thing to not be excited about or pre-emptively diss a game because it doesn't take advantage of the hardware available (ala Sega Ages Outrun remake), but to give off negative vibes based on style? The game clearly takes advantage of the hardware as well as any other Nintendo effort to date.

I have yet to play the game, but I'm hoping that most of your writers don't diss unreleased games based on the visual style. That is what all the 12 year olds did on GameFAQs before Zelda:TWW was released. I hope the person who wrote that got a good talking too.

Or at least directed to NTSC-Uk, to check if by dissing game X, you won't earn the scorn of at least part of your target audience.

But apart from one wee paragraph, a superb mag.

I disagreed with your PGR2 review, but you have your opinion, I have mine. Well written review, just that MotoGP is the king of all Xbox racers. Hehehe. Only kidding.

Keep up the good work. And shoot that muppet if therapy doesn't help.

How about a bigger import section for strange unknown games maybe a big guide in one of issue for monthly topic.

I think Games TM is great to read but again nothing is perfect.
