PSVR2 now available to order directly from Sony without an invitation. Delivery within a week of launch.

Makes me wonder if this isn't selling well. I thought we would have seen a press release trumpeting selling out the launch allocation if pre-orders had done well.

I’m assuming the new ps5 only vr games will require psvr2? So you’re forced to upgrade your vr hardware to play new games on your already upgraded PlayStation. For console vr gamers, upgrading your system just got somewhat expensive I guess.

I wonder if anyone will get psvr2 working on a pc. Could be cool as it looks like good tech.

Yeah the new games do require PSVR2.

Def seems like they’ve not sold too many of these so far.

It's becoming a real red flag that we're seeing devs offer PSVR2 updates for their PSVR1 games and yet Sony can't do the same for even a single one of their games, even the simplest to update where tracking was minimal. There's so little evidence that Sony is putting anything into the software side and for most that is where the decision to buy will lie

I've got a feeling they will re-release some of the games they have made for ps-vr with a few more bells and whistles and charge for them again, we will no doubt see blood and truth and Astro bot getting a lick of paint and a psvr-2 conversions and Sony charging full price for them again.
