Everyone should want (and expect) games to be good on all platforms, regardless of fatuous allegiances, rather than tacitly accepting games are released broken these days.
That’s not how the world works Marty and certainly not the gaming market. If you keep buying or downloading crap broken games, that tells the accountants and higher ups what they can get away with, or even what you like, as thats the only metric they have to work on.

Did you purchase Deathloop on launch? Great game that was of good quality and well polished. If you didn’t purchase it then that tells them you don’t like it, and they won’t bother in future.

Did you download Redfall straight away on launch and put a load of hours into it? That tells them you do like that, so more of that please.

    Shrugs.

Nothing changes with apathy - and changes have been forced when voices haven't been.

And as if by magic, a very recent example of that happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDDD8vCwOmQ

Naughty Dog have scaled back LoU Factions stand alone multiplayer title they have in development. Most the staff have been moved to their other single player project apparently. They will continue to work on it but at a smaller scale.

Apparently Sony took the game to bungie and they expressed the opinion that it won’t hold a player for an extended period that’s needed for a standalone multiplayer title.

I'm sure that project is still in good hands. To me that sounds like Bungie has come in and reviewed multiplayer projects across the board and spotted a few things...

That handheld reportedly has a 3-4 battery life.... pinch of salt of course but if true this sounds like you'll be recharging it a lot. I think I can get about 5-6 hours out of the Steam Deck in the same use case as a comparison.

The only good thing if this is true is it should be fairly lightweight even with that large screen.

Year, there a LOT of gas games now, if it’s not the best then it won’t hold a sufficient audience to carry on.

Factions should just be tied up and coupled with a TLOU2 remaster, effectively what it should have been to begin with. Companies need to take a good hard look at the successful GAAS games out there and realise they didn't happen from years of pre-planned success. Sometimes things strike a chord, often they don't. Particularly for a platform exclusive entry, I don't think any have succeeded. Sony is sinking millions on flops in effect, chasing a money tree that already ran dry.

Thought i'd never find a game that would make me want to finally get a next gen console but then i saw goat simulator 3 & damn i'm tempted. Wish it would release on ps4 but it seems it's next gen only it has just the right amount of jank & meme potential been laughing my ass off at a playthrough of it. So many parodies and bonkers stuff, love it.

Just finishing it now with the kids, between time spent with him and time they've spent messing around together on it they've hit 45hrs on the clock and... it's actually been good after not liking the first two

What are the odds of a PS5 slim in the future?

I'm thinking of getting one towards the end of 2023, but I'm concerned because the unit is MASSIVE and literally might not fit in the TV unit I've got. It's not going on top (hardware design has to serve my needs, not the other way around) so when's Sony doing a smaller one?

It's been 'reliably' leaked for the last 18 months or more, but still no official sign. I'm sick of waiting tbh and I'm planning to plump for a Phat in the autumn, the day after which they'll announce the Slim.

At the end of the day yes it’s big, but it’s quiet and cool.
