^ There are always these. Plus,

one of the very first things you see and are told about is the Temple of Time, literally within the first 15 minutes you are instructed to go there.

However, we're in agreement that this shouldn't happen again so will update the rules.

As for the First Play thread being "ruined" and "completely off-limits", you could:
        - Avoid the thread until you're ready to play
        - use the "hide" function so you don't see someone's posts
        - scroll past someone's posts if they're further than you

On a personal note, I've agreed with you, apologised, updated the thread and promised to update the rules, but it's still not good enough?
I'll fully refund 100% of my wages as a Mod for the whole year in compensation.
Ok, but what are you going to do to make this right?

Coo, I've just played on the Switch 2.

My Uncle's got a secret tunnel under his third floor flat that leads directly to the Nintendo office and he crept in last night and borrowed one more me.

The controllers are called FunPads rather than JoyCons so you know they don't work on the old Switch.

Anyway.... That Zelda, huh. It's not bad

I for one would be deeply shocked to find out 'spoiler word' was in a Zelda game, when it's appeared in every Zelda game by one name or another, even BotW. I extra will be careful in the future incase i mention Street Fighter 7 has
              in it.

It goes shows the game can be played differently, we've both spent similar (18)hours in it, but i've followed a few of the starting story missions, as in my experience with BotW, it's the thing to do to get introduced to new stuff.

The Nintendo fun-pads are so intuitive their like giant wobbly squishy controllers that you grab your whole hand its weird but they only have one button on each fun pad at the top dead center, squeezing them in different ways makes your on screen avatar react in surprising ways its a very weird controller

Haven't we always had quite a strict anti-piracy stance on the forum?
LEb LEb LEb, man of all the people to complain about someone playing a pirated copy, you dont have to read their comments my man, just unfollow them, block them so there posts are not readable to you, lots of ways to avoid it, many will want to know what awaits them..

For context, I had the game TWO weeks before it officially came out, tbh, i probably put less than 90 minutes into it in those two weeks. For further context, I have also bought the Zelda OLED Console, the Collectors edition of the game AND the Zelda controller so best part of £500 parted with, so I have no guilt at all for my nefarious means of obtaining the game early, I wouldn't personally post spoilers on here and ruin it for anyone myself but if I'm looking forward to a Game, Movie or whatever, I purposely avoid anything to do it with, trailers, reveals, the lot. Until I fired this up, I only had vague memories of the 1st game and nothing more.

Hope your finally enjoying Hyrule now anyway

Having one of the inputs being a mouthguard that you bite down on was a weird choice, but it works! Even grandma can play when she takes her dentures out!

We don’t even have any real weapons yet other than what the baddies drop for us. A lot of my time is spent either gliding or skydiving while imagining I’m playing a new Pilotwings instead of a Zelda game. It’s like a game within a game. I don’t think this will ever get boring, for the exact same reasons why Pilotwings 64 doesn’t.
It's not a huge exaggeration to say that TotK has consumed my every waking moment since I started it last Friday. I haven't played it much but it invades my thoughts and every time I'm away from it I'm counting the minutes until I can play it.

Then I get back on it and I'm all "ughhh, I only have five hearts and no more bows and a monster just killed me with one hit. This is going to take aaaages."

Regardless, I love how it's given me an opportunity to jump back into the exact same world of BotW without needing to replay BotW itself.

Also, my frustration at suddenly being low-powered is motivating me to get better at combat instead of cooking endless shrooms - you don't need hearts if you can dodge an attack in the first place.

Just found out that The Case of the Golden Idol is coming out on Switch this week, complete with some shiny new DLC that I was similarly unaware of! Highly recommend the game though, particularly for any fans of Return of the Obra Dinn or folks who are into figuring things out and enjoy those 'lightbulb moments' when things all fall into place.

It's always weird when they say "Customise your Switch with-", as if they're replaceable covers.

Does Nintendo consider JoyCons disposable or something? I mean, they're notoriously unreliable but surely that's not by design

Joy-Con design flaws aside, it's not that weird. You can obviously rock different colour combinations of Joy-Con, therefore you're obviously (albeit expensively) customising your Switch. Some people actually do go to the trouble of replacing the shells on Joy-Con with custom designs.

And at least Nintendo now finally offer to repair them for free instead of effectively denying that anything was wrong with them like they did for years previously.

Composer Grant Kirkhope appears to effectively confirm that there won't be a third Mario + Rabbids game after tweeting that his work on the series is now complete.
