Interesting how they're upcharging for physical. That's new.

At least Mario Party's NS2 upgrade includes some DLC - Zelda's are just theft

As it turns out so is Metroid's. Unless your slavish about playing on TV and the charge is next to nothing it's worth just sticking to the default NS version
Yeah, curious as to how much they cost. As if the Zelda ones cost £2, I mean, if they add some minor content, fix some bugs, maybe fix up some issues caused by the up-res... But if they charge £15 for that, it's gonna be a ripoff.

Switch 1 pads work on Switch 2 which is good. Joycons won't attach obviously or work with stuff where mouse features are required.

Their ploy will likely work with me, I'll likely go digital but it will be a tentpole only system. There's a very, very real chance I'll only buy two games for it this year if I end up with one

Guess I won't be pre-ordering from the Nintendo Store then, no way I have 50 hours game time and my NSO expired end of last year.

Hopefully they at least set a time that everywhere can begin preorders so its not a case of spending all day F5'ing

£12.99 - includes the Nintendo tax.

On the UK store there's no ability to register your interest I can see, also the criteria seem to be stricter than above ...

Haven’t seen the coverage but I thought it was a mechanic that could work well for some games and not something I’ve seen with trad mice (maybe it happens on VR but it passed me by?)

Makes me thinks once again about Namco’s negcon for Ridge Racer.

I liked the look of DK very much, reminds me first of Mario Odyssey and also… er… I forget now, but mostly good impressions.

Was this in the Direct? - kept cutting out for me

You get this for free if you have a sub, also the app side stuff doesnt need a Nintendo account it you buy it yourself.
I was surprised the welcome game is a paid for experience, seems a bit odd to charge for an interactive manual for your purchase.

Still toying if to get one or not......... mmmmmmmmm

Looks like region locking is back what fun, because of how **** the japanese yen is nintendo have made sure to discourage people importing one of the japanese models by making it only have japanese as the system language and it will only accept a nintendo account set to the japanese region. Western units will be normal but until nintendo confirm that a western unit will accept japanese games & accounts i wont be remotely be going near one my library is a mix of all regions & i refuse to go back to the crap they pulled with 3DS

The wheelchair basketball game is pure wtf, it looked terrible too like a half finished tech demo from the 2000s,
it got me thinking about the lack of a desk for most armchair gaming, are we supposed to sit on the sofa wizzing our joycons along the couch cushions at our sides to play a really awkward game of basketball.

Did anyone else catch that the nintendo switch 2 interactive instruction manual thing shown at the start was a paid digital download, how greedy can you get.
