I can see why Nintendo are emphasising it in marketing because it's obviously a very visual feature and it's one of only two differences to the old Switch (the other being the mouse mode).
It does have a bit of a fun factor but it doesn't really do a whole lot. I mean you would think it might also do some Eyetoy type stuff, but it seems to just be videochat.
It's really a shame that Nintendo didn't make the new Switch do more fun interesting stuff. I would've loved wireless docking so that you could link multiple units/JoyCons to the same 'dock'/base station and play Mario Chase or Four Swords type games.
That would have been super visual for marketing purposes, too.
I also personally would've overhauled the look of it to be even punchier and more fun than the old Switch. I kinda feel like the choice of colour scheme feels left over from a cancelled "Switch Pro" project. It's very serious.
