I'll be interested to see the impact of taking the IP multiplatform in some form, Horizon definitely has an air about it that Sony thinks its bigger than it perhaps is so it'll be interesting - even in this form - to see if it shows growth

      Horizon zero dawn: 24.3m.
      Horizon forbidden west: over 10m.

Just a small franchise then, it will get big one day i guess.

Most of Sony's first party games sell strong figures, but I don't get the same sense that its as beloved as God of War or Uncharted etc. Not sure I'd be as confident as Sony is making VR, multiplatform spin offs, live service titles etc The Killzone effect

Buy PlayStation 5 Pro Digital Console at Argos. Thousands of products for same day delivery, or fast store collection.

Other retailers too - PS5 Pro price reductions kicking in, £40 off

Did anyone get Sony's Pulse Elite branded headset, they seem to be the replacement for the PS Gold headsets. My PS4 gold one still works fine but the covering is flaking off as per usual for these headsets from years of use.

I've only got the standard Pulse headset which sound great to me, good range and crystal clear with the 3d audio being pretty amazing, but i'm half from years of abusing my ears so probably not the best barometer on sound

I got it at launch. A planar magnetic powered headset for that price seemed too good to be true. But it’s not it sounds fantastic. Maybe not the last word in build quality but comfy and it’s got it where it counts.

Can't say im please with how sony make getting their play online tax for cheaper such a pain, to save even a tiny bit of money i have buy a £50 and £10 credit which is about a £4 saving from various sites. Sony's own Black Friday 'deals' are for 12 month premium service only for a bargain of £120 (unless i'm missing a trick and they hid other sub deals really well) which they can stick where the sun don't shine.

Yeah I've got one ; I mainly use it on my PC which works perfectly. However I do occasionally get some drop outs on the PS5 - so the switching isn't perfect.

Sound quality is very good though if you like extreme bass you may be disappointed. I quite like them - I used to have the golds and these are better especially the build quality. And I quite like them on my pc though I still have a soft spot for my old hyper X which fell apart from use!!

Oh and these look ridiculous on your head so I don't use them for zoom/google/slack calls

I recon this will be an expanded streaming device similar to Portal, rather than a standalone like SteamDeck, but we will see i guess.

Yeah good luck with that, the more powerful the hardware the faster a battery dies. The chipset on a ps5 is power hungry so unless they have some magical way of stopping it drawing so much power you’ll end up with a battery life of mere minutes. Battery tech not evolving fast enough to keep up with power demands even the portable pc/steamdeck like handhelds only manage a few hours.

streaming via cloud is the only feasible way they could keep the power requirements useable.

Even the portal battery isn't great.

My Switch Lite since new has only lasted 3-4 hours on a charge, so in my experience all these handhelds are all pretty similar

That sounds awfully low, do lites have the pre version 2 battery in them? My current oled switch gets about 5 to 6 hours on a charge.
