It does but they wont be the traditional type, more along the lines of unique and original games like Rolando and stuff. Because there's no buttons to use it makes most games useless especially when they ask you to do really intricate things like shooting or driving a car. However, the Itouch's touch screen and weight accelorometer allows for some good games if used appropriately.

To be honest though a lot of the games that crop up in the app store are quite poor and don't suit the Itouch. Only a rare few are good in terms of how many Are pumped out in total. The pricing is normally good for the games, especially if you wait a little while after release.

We'll probably see some more inventive games soon, but if you just want games more for some fun then they are plentifull.

Can you get emulators for it, such as Megadrive/SNES etc?

I think so, but I've never tried it. It may require hacking the Itouch.

Edit: It seems you can but as I guessed you need to jailbreak your Itouch. I've never tried but I wouldn't recommend it as it will probably have problems with Itunes and updates etc.

There's also not much point as you dont have the suitable controls to play most of the retro stuff. As I said in my previous post the Itouch doesn't do traditional games well, stick to the latest handheld with proper buttons and D-pad that is designed for emulators like the GPX32 or whatever the latest one is.

How do I get videos onto my iPhone? I convert files to .mp4 and try to drag them into iTunes but nothing happens. I thought it was as simple as that?

Did you remember to sync again afterwards? Every time you move something over into a library it needs to be synched

Also I think the extension must be in caps for iTunes to recognise it?

              ie. abc.MP4

not totally sure on this though as I remember having some teething problems also.

Right I got one video working somehow, I didn't do anything different! Mine's auto syncs anyway so don't think that was the problem!

Does it need to be MP4? Nothing else? I'm trying to export a movie from Premiere into MP4 but it just does it as a .mov for some reason.

And I wanted to put shows like Family Guy etc on the iPhone but they are MP4 files and they just don't transfer. Drag them into iTunes and the plus sign comes up as if it's letting you drop it there but nothing happens when you do as if it's not supporting the file type. I used Videora or something for iPhone for convert them too.

Does need to be MP4 yes, I've had the problem with them not showing before and think changing the extension to Caps worked for me.

I know PSPVideo converts to the right file type etc, so Videora should be fine. Sure it resizes videos automatically, so it must be the file extention or something it doesn't like about the file name? know spaces are OK, don't know what else to suggest really.

Can anyone recommend me a decent ipod speaker/docking station, looking to spend about ?80 at most.

Dunno what it could be then, file extension is in caps too! I'll keep trying.

I bought this for girlfriend and it's perfect:

Use my iPhone on it now too. For such a small cheap unit, it's a great sound off it, really impressed.

                          Awesome!

I've managed to get my own animation files onto my iPhone fine now using Quicktime Pro but I still can't change these AVI's that TV shows come in to the MP4 that works! Tried so many programs now. I must be doing something wrong!

I'm on the hunt for earphones again. Can't stand the ear canal Sony ones I bought so they've been relegated to the drawer until I next decide to go on a plane (where they'll probably be quite useful).

I prefer earbud style ones (like those that come with the iPod to begin with) but I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Regarding price, I'd say up to £30 or so will be ok. I know you lose out on the bass by opting for the earbud style over ear canal but I'm fed up of feeling all my internal sounds and the tremors from walking around town (not to mention being cut off from the outside world)!

                            Cheers

I can't abide the ear canal type earphones, so I use a pair of Sennheiser MX things with mine. Not exactly the same as these, but very similar:

I think they may actually be a newer one than mine (which are MX500's). Fairly inexpensive and give very good quality - nice bass.

There's some MX760's too - not sure what the improvements are.

Oh yeah that's the sort of thing I'm after. Not too hot for those types where the left ear wire is really short and the right one goes around the head (heavy movement makes the left one start dislodging if I'm not careful), the info states these are symmetric, though.

Thanks for the info, that's basically what I'm after. Crikey, there's so many of them!

One thing, though. I'm on a website that sells earphones and they don't seem to like earbuds that much. Having said that, they only stock two models anyway (mx560 and 760). I'd imagine they only stock the two models because they don't really like earbuds, as opposed to their not really liking earbuds because they only have two models on offer!

According to them there's only a marginal increase in quality over the standard ipod ones. I wonder if it's probably better to wait until my ipod ones break before looking if that's the case.

In your opinion, how do your mx500s fare against the original ipod ones?
