    Seriously, though.
Anyone got a remote they want to dispose of?

    Comment

I have one I don't use, but it would need to be way higher than ?10. Don't they go for ?30 new ?

      Comment

It's a pretty steep ?30 for a brand new remote and headphones. I don't want the headphones (they give you some with the goddamn iPod anyway), so ?30 for a rather minimalist remote is ridiculous if you ask me...

Anyone got any links to this software I need -

Software enabling me to copy songs FROM my ipod to my mac

          and

European level limit remover from my ipod....

          TIA

This might help for the first one.

There's loads of software in their download section.

And this should help for the level limit

            Can I have a remote now? :P

Heh, let me check with the lady and if she doesn't want it we will come to some agreement. Thanks for the links as well

Actually, don't worry about it. I seem to have fortuitously been rescued by a shining kNIghtPS.
Thank you for the offer, though.

cheapest place to get a pink mini ipod?........anyone?

                  Comment

Right I'm a bit worried. Got myself a mini last week and its all been good. Went out last night and coming home on the bus thought I'll listen to some tunes. Go to switch it on and get a large battery icon in the middle of the screen with a triangular sign with an exclamation mark inside it.

Now I thought I'd switched it off but maybe I'd left it on and so the battery had rundown. So get home and try connecting it to the dock and get no response from it. Tried again this morning and again got the same icon but then after a while nothing. It just won't switch on and my 'puter isn't even recognising it's there. Everthing worked fine until yesterday.

WTF is going on!??!?! This happened to anyone else, any ideas and/or help would be much appreciated...? Worried is not the word...

Not sure if there's much difference anywhere. Apple site does free engraving which is kinda cool.....

That sounds bad man. Normal battery sign is empty when it needs charging. With a ! by it............never seen it. You looked around on any ipod forums ?? May be a good place to start other than that, email apple ?

If possible take a picture somehow Len because I think I know what you are talking about.

Phew, it's working but I'm not exactly sure how.

Like I said I left it in the dock all day Fri, came back and still nowt, very worried. So spent an age trying to track down the icon on Apple's site, what a 'mare that was and it's here (battery and exclamation mark):

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93936 - same as you got Ginza...?

So I tried to but I'm not sure if I did reset it. Still nowt, then all of sudden mini comes back on and I'm straight into the main menu, with no Apple logo boot up, with a fully charged battery...wtf?!?!??!

So maybe I just needed to reset it, god knows.

On another note, the charger that came with it from the states, do I need a stepdown to plug it in or can I just whack it into the wall with a 3 prong thing, I assume not...? I charge it off my puter normally but just in case and I don't want to blow it up...lol!

                            Apple power bricks are multiformat.
You can actually pull that little fitting off for use with the international kit. It works okay at 240v.

You can just bung in a normal "figure of 8" lead where the little US prong plug adaptor thingymajig goes. I use my PS2 one . Import gaming, of a sort :P

The second graphic down Len? I get that all the time and sometimes i havent even used the iPod since charging it. It just means the battery is completely dead and you need to charge it. I normally charge mine overnight and give it a full charge. Mines from the US also and it has a 2 pin US charger on but i put a 3 pin travel adaptor over it and plug it in the wall fine.
