Ah please help! This driving me nuts, I've installed Itunes, and I have it up on my PC now, however, it doesn't seem to be recognising my ipod is plugged in. Windows XP keeps wanting me to install it as a mass storage device, would I be right that I don't want to install it as a mass storage device? I thought I best ask here before I do anything, so can i get my ipod to come up? I'm it with the usb cable, thanks alot, if someone could help me and my ipod starts to work, i'll be over the moon

When I plugged my iPod into a Windows computer it did the same thing so I think it's ok.

Having said that I use mine on a Mac normally.

Anyone know if a standard 3.5mm cable with 2 phono-leads on the end will work if I plugged it into my amp at home or do I need the specialist iPod stereo cable?

I jus picked me self up an ipod in canada with an itrip, its the latest model apparenlty with no buttons jus a spin wheel. Anyways my problem is it did not come with a remote control! and everytime i wanna change a track ihave to dish it out of me pocket, is there anywhere i can get one at cheap price? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Problem el mundo! My computer crashed while i was using Itunes, and now it says the library is currupt, and now there is no songs in the library when I use Itunes. This means when i plug my ipod into my pc and it updates the library all my songs will go off my ipod, and i dont have them as mp3s anymore as i delete them as my hard drive is small, and just keep them listed on the library. Is there a program or a setting I can choose so that when i go to to put more songs on my Ipod with Itunes, that it wont update my library and leave me with no songs on Ipod ...

A better way to put my problem would be, if i got a new pc, and had previously used my Ipod with my old PC to put all the songs on, how would i keep the songs on my pod while still being able to use Itunes on my new pc and put more songs on ... hah i wish i really did have a new pc.

Anyone who could help me out would be the king of the world, as i really really really dont want to have all my songs deleted off my ipod, i think i'll just sell it if that happens.
