My Ipod seems very bass heavy when connected to my Denon. So i've had to turn it down quite alot on my actual amp. Sounds good, nothing like a CD mind.

My mate dropped his ipod and the lcd is cracked, is there anything he can other than buy another one. Its a 4th generation 20gb one and Apple have quoted him ?125 to repair it.

Are there any places to buy spares from and are they easily/cheaply replaced?

It has no screen. And you can't pick what song you want to listen to next. And it's hardly "random" if you only have 240 songs on it.

It's random if it chooses 240 songs at random from a much larger collection... although you can specify which play lists you want to select the 240 songs from, and it looks crap and pointless.

I think it's a fantastic idea. It's basically a USB memory stick that plays music randomly from whatever you've uploaded to it. Plugs straight into your PC without cables, and looks the dogs bollocks.

That looks shocking, who would waste money on it!?

Back to the last pages post, I have my iPod connected to my sound system and it's perfect as long as you have your songs encoded at a decent bitrate, nothing below 192kbps and it'll sound great and I just use the 2 phonos to headphone jack.

Note that the iPod Shuffle, despite what the name implies, can also play your music in order.
