Jesus man! When my new one arrived I chucked 16 gig on there and I'd never listen to it all, when my 80gig one arrives I doubt I'll ever fill it up, though I'd imagine TV shows might make up a good portion of it, I like the idea of South Park (etc) on the go!

I suppose if you went for lossless audio 160gb would be spot on, but if you encode it at 192 - 320, even then 80gb is plenty for me

I really don't have any troubles with my 4gb nano! Its not exactly difficult to delete music and stick new stuff on there. I have getting on for 100gb of mp3's at home, and never once have I thought "damn, I wish I had <some random album> on me". Got more than enough stuff on there for me at the moment.

Exactamundo. I don't think I'd really use it if I had that much music on, I need it refining so I'm not spending most of the time searching for what I want to listen to.

I mean, even if you were a DJ using your iPod, ****...y'know! 80gb is a HUGE library of tunes to access...120gb...I can't imagine what the "Artist" or "Album" list would look like!

That's what genres are for! Makes browsing big libraries a breeze.

I don't see how, there are numerous genre's whether you are a fan of all kinds of music or not. 160GB is huge...

If I want Rock, I know what rock music is on my iPod since I put it there...and so on. I don't think browsing by genre would make a difference to me. Especially since someone like, for example Damien Rice comes under rock, or acoustic rock, or acoustic, or folk or acoustic folk (rock).

I think that once you're into the realms of 100gb > then surely you'd be filling some of that up with videos too? Which'd take up the space...

Silly question from me again actually (still very new to iPods etc) but with videos, do they have their own menu?

                  For example, for music..

Music -> Artist -> Manic Street Preachers -> Send Away The Tigers -> Indian Summer.mp3

Does Video get it's own menu completely?

                  Comment

Yeah, it's a separate option on the first menu.

                      Nice one.

I may actually buy a few South Park episodes. Is the quality ok? Cos the free Ricky Gervais podcasts I've downloaded look **** quality playing through iTunes at native "size"...to be honest they don't sound too good either.

Yes video stuff has it's own menu,

I'm seriously considering buying a 160GB classic. I have about 100GB of music in iTunes, all legit and encoded in lossless. Would be great to have it all in my pocket and space to spare for some video.

I went for the 80gb black one.

Wierd that you can't buy white ones, only black and silver.

Are apple moving away from white white white and moving to black black black?

Not a clue, I just have the functionality because it came with the gizmo!

I have watched the IGN video podcast (Yes yes, I know) and the quality is excellent, so I'm assuming more professionally produced material would look as good if not even better.

Is all that stuff also available on iTunes or do you download it from IGN in mp4 (or whatever) format and import into iTunes?

Don't forget to buy the FM radio remote btw Shame they didn't include FM radio as standard (why apple! why!) But the remote is really nice and displays RDS text.

It would seem that black is the new black. Think you can only have any kind of choice of colours with the nano. I suppose it makes these "Product:RED" type (ie. charity, and U2) special editions more desirable.
