I haven't had one error and i was a bit worried. Before buying it, i was on a couple of iPod touch forums. People where talking about screens, development dates on the serials etc.. It made me a bit nervous, a bit like when i imported a psp on Japanese launch day...
To test, i've opened all apps on it, used safari, while listening to some music. No crashes, hiccups etc.. Maybe, if anyone is having trouble, try restoring, or hopefully updating when the new one comes out like Taka said)....

I second that. The screen is glass apparently not cheap plastic like you may get on other players. I have a crystal case for mine that includes a screen protector but I don't think it's really needed actually. Just give it a little rub with bit of glass cleaner and it will look brand new every time.

After being on itunes for a couple of hours working out how to get the most out of the way i like using it. I converted some videos itunes found on my computer, but when i put it on my touch, there wasn't any audio. anyone have an idea why that could be?
Also any program recommendations and also how do i go about locking it so i dont acually touch the screen when im moving about. also is there any visualisations for when music is getting played.
Alot of questions i know, but im new to the ipod stuff!

Is the audio on the videos aac ? Easy to check, just open one in Quicktime and click window on the toolbar, then show movie inspector (ctrl+I). What did you convert them with...?
As for locking it. Just click the sleep button once it won't come on by touching the screen. Only by clicking the sleep or home button. Even then you have to slide to unlock. Also, you can get quick music menu up, by clicking the home button twice quickly....
No there's no visualizations on it....

Yep, xvid4psp can convert videos to the iPod format.

Not sure about cases. I've got a silicone protector on the way. Really just to cover the back and sides. Something basic...
