If I emigrate from my current 1meg SupaNet to Pipex, and want 2megs unlimited; how much will it cost a month??

Pipex 2meg (solo2000) is now 34 quid a month, iirc. Migration is usually free between these ISPs. Pipex also waive the 70 odd quid sign-on for new connections if you stick with em for 12 months (leave, and you'll be subject to it).

solo1000 is now the same price as the old 512k solo500, 23 quid.

Does anyone use the Pipex webspace? I'm thinking of putting a CMS like Tiki on it, but I can't seem to find anything that confirms or denies that they have SQL and PHP support...

Idiot Pipex. Normally send all the emails to the master Pipex account, and my uni one. Except for the one telling me they have got my upgrade notice. Gah.

Well looks likes it been done. The net died earlier, grinding to a halt. So i disconnected the router and turned it back on, and since the net has been belting down at just over 1.5Mbps

So **** knows whats going on there :P

Edit: ive left it for 1hr and half or so, and its now running just under 2meg ... 8)

So is that ?15 refundable ?

No one seems to be able to give a straight answer

                          No, why would it be?

Edit: They have had to pay BT to upgrade them earlier, around ?13-14 afaik. So they are making like ?1-2 profit in it

Thats what I thought, but some people were insistant in saying you got the ?15 back.

I thought it sounded like Bollox. Cheers mate

There was a cockup in the billing, where they charged folk 17 instead of 15, perhaps that's where the confusion came from. It's a one off fee to jump the queue, it doesn't make sense that it would be refunable.

Meanwhile, the router still reckons it's 2meg, tf is going on tbh. I'm definately still on the old solo500 rate (and selected solo1000) which was/is ?23.99.

Afaik its because they've opened up all the connections full pelt, but Pipex havent got around to throttling them yet. So free 2mb until then, unless THEY have ballsed up billing :P

I said i thought the regrade was free, as it had been previously to regrade to Solo 1000 (from Solo 500) (as it said in a previous email). But obviously i was mistaken.
