Sorry, but you're just never going to get that disc looking good, no matter what hardware you play it back on.

Until you get Ep. 3, the releases of both Episode 2 and the "original" (i.e. messed with) trilogy look just peachy, if it's Star Wars demo material you're after.
As an alternative trilogy for showoffs, for all its faults as a film the DVD of Matrix Reloaded has a stunningly filmlike transfer.

Just ordered the Oppo, spoke to the guy on the phone to make sure it was in stock, and it is and and when I asked if it will be sent today and I'll receive it tomorrow he said no and that the courier had left already for today! Dont most places not depatch until 5pm-ish? Means I wont get it until Friday now, was hoping to sit in and go through the Lord of The Rings extended trilogy tomorrow which I just got in the post today!
Oh well, at least I'm getting it anyway! You people cost me so much money!

Right, Its all set up, its beautiful, its nice and all that jazz. I'll praise it later but need to get something sorted first.
Using the LG, I had my PC in through a VGA from the PC to the DVI port on the TV. That was fine and now I have to use the DVI-VGA splitter cable so I'm now using a VGA > VGA for the PC that goes into the splitter and the Oppo is through a DVI > DVI connection into the second part of the splitter, and the whole thing goes into the DVI port on my LG.
Now, how do you switch between these two on the fly when they are both on? When you turn the Oppo on or off then it switches to and from it but what if I want to switch between when they are both on? It doesnt look like there is a way to do it..Even though when I first plugged it in, the screen flashed on the PC and then to the DVD so it managed to pick up both signals when they were both on so I dont know..
They sent me and HDMI cable and the DVI which was what I asked for, tried the HDMI just to see and I got that sparkling shimmering effect on everything too.Would have been so much easier if that worked too!

I've got my Oppo connected via HDMI and i'm not having any problems like that. I know Shakey said he was having the same problem. Just confused to what is actually happening on-screen.
Btw, i have had my Oppo connected via DVI as well and as far as i'm concerned the PQ is the exact same via both DVI and HDMI.
